Camping in Canada

As I woke up early Saturday morning, I could barely stand the excitement. I ran into my brother, Kamal's, room and woke him up. We all got ready to go to Canada to our camp. We will be staying there for a week. While our parents go out and do lots of other fun things. We will get to play paintball, kayak, play on the tire swing, sit at the campfires. "Kamal," I yelled as I shook him out of his deep sleep, "get ready for the camp." My parents had our stuff already packed in the car. We hurriedly hopped in the backseat and were soon on our way. While we were on the freeway there was lots of traffic. It took seven hours to reach the camp. There were millions of cars on the freeway. When we finally arrived we got out our luggage out and went to the meal room where we got some snacks. "Goodbye," we both shouted to our mom and dad.

It was boring when we first entered the dining hall.
Because we had one snack then we got to introduce ourselves to everyone. When we were done then the counselors introduced where they were from and told their names. Soon after a while of talking we had to go to the temple for two hours. There were some announcements we were told so we would know what to do. There wasn’t that many things that we were told. So, we had dinner right after the announcements.

The next morning we had to go to the temple for two hours again. This is going to be tiring because this will be our daily schedule. We would get breakfast then we would get to do stick fighting which is the fun part of the camp. Music and culture reading was after stick fighting. I got to learn how to use two cultural drums while my brother got to learn a song from a small piano. I had to learn to use the two drums because they are a pair. It took the whole week before I knew how to use the drums. As I was doing the drums, my brother would have struggles to use the small piano and try to make the song come out of his mouth as well trying to match the tone with the piano. When we got to learn for an hour we got to go to history class where we got to learn the history of india before I was born. I liked that class because I got to learn about the history and some facts that I had never heard or known. As soon as we were done with history we were so hungry that we could eat pounds and pounds of food.

When we finished we got to do one recreational activity, which could be kayaking, or even horse back riding. My brothers and my first activity was horseback riding. We got to learn how to ride the horses. Every person who was in the group went with us through the forest and around the park. We were manual with the horse and not with someone holding the horse and taking us around. When we left for the campsite we had to get ready for the temple again. Soon, we finished and listened to the announcements, in the announcements they said which team will be serving food and which will be doing the dishes. There were many more jobs to be done. Sometimes we got to be at a campfire and sometimes we didn’t get to be. Other times we played a few active games or we went straight to bed.

In the whole week we did all those things. One of the worst things was waking up early in the morning. Another bad thing was listening to bad words and story’s. The last bad thing was we got lunch when we were about to starve to death. This camp was not as boring as I thought but it was awesome!
