Nobody hears the cry of the poor
Born 1993, M, from Dhaka, BangladeshThere are many persons in our society who are honored cordially for their wealth and power. But doesn’t our society know who they are? Perhaps they know. These so-called “honorable” persons wear the mask of honesty, kindness. They are indulged in theft, dishonest deeds which are a far cry from their real appearance in the outlook of the society.
I am talking about humanity. There are many children in our country who cry of hunger, but our society doesn’t hear their cries. A few days ago two little poor sisters stole a piece of bread to fulfill their ravenous hunger. But our “Kind” people punished them horribly for such a little mistake. The two sisters were cowering in fear.
It was just an example, there are many people in our country who have to do a little wrong to keep their body and soul together. They are abhorrent to the entire society for that crime. But their crime is considered as just a pebble in an ocean compared to these “honorable”, bad-eggs in our society. They do a huge amount of theft, crimes which damage the dignity of the motherland. But nobody can talk about them due to the wall of silence. Our society is only busy at these poor, hopeless people.
I have just a little message to our society- change your outlook towards these poor people. They are also human beings of flesh and blood. Don’t look down upon them. Rather, show sympathy towards them.
