Once there was a girl called Scarlotte who had gold flowing hair and she loved Diary Milk chocolate. That was when it started. Scarlotte wanted Dairy Milk chocolate so much. So she asked to her mum, “Can I have Dairy Milk chocolate please?”
Her mum thought it was a waste of money and replied, “No.”
“But all my friends have it.”
“Maybe next time.”
“Okay.”
In two weeks time it was time to get it. But her mum lied and it was chore day for Scarlotte. Her mum put money on the table for chores and it just enough money needed to buy…
Then suddenly the angel came in her house and sat on her shoulder and said, “Don’t steal the money.”
Just then, the devil popped up on her other shoulder and said, “Take the money and buy the Dairy Milk chocolate.”
So she followed the devil’s instructions and took the money and went to the store. Scarlotte’s first thought was that she wasn’t sure whether she should take the money or not. She really wanted to get the chocolate but she didn’t want to upset her mum. Once, she saw the chocolate bar, she decided to follow the devil’s instructions and bought it.
When she got home, she took it up to her room and hid it under her pillow. Her mum came back from work and asked, “Did you do your chores?”
Scarlotte had totally forgotten about the chores…..her mum was holding a bag.
“I got a surprise for you.”
Her mum gave her the present and she opened it to reveal Dairy Milk chocolate. Scarlotte couldn’t lie anymore and knew she had to tell the truth.
“So where are the chores you’ve done?” asked mum.
“Ummmm,”
“What did you do?”
“nnnothing.”
“Where’s the money?”
“Um I don’t know.”
“Have you bought Dairy Milk chocolate?”
“Yes sorry.”
“You are grounded for a month!” exclaimed mum.
“I promise not to do that again.”
Scarlotte was grounded for a month, so she read all day and night but still had to go to school. She was so disappointed with herself that she promised never to do it again.
