It was a rainy night and Tia and her family were having dinner. Tia said to her mum ‘’Can I have a dog please?’’ asked Tia.
‘’What’s the use? We don’t have any space for a dog,’’ replied mum
“But mum.”
‘’No buts, now finish your dinner.’’
‘’Mum, everyone in school has a dog.’’
‘’ No Tia, that’s called wasting money.’’
‘’How?’’
‘’Well we have to get food for the dog then a bed and then a cage.’’
‘’Now brush your teeth and change your clothes and get into bed.’’
Tia was sad because she really wanted the dog. That night she dreamt about the dog, in her dream, she named it Snow. It had a little pink bow in her soft, white hair on her right ear. She had sky blue eyes and a red and yellow chain. When she woke up the next morning, she knew that she had to have a dog, but how was she going to get it?
Tia was still thinking about if she should get a dog on the way to school. She had two thoughts; one was a devil on her left arm and an angel on her right arm.
“Steal money and get a dog,” said the devil.
“No don’t do it,” said the angel.
“Everyone in your school has a dog.”
“That’s wasting money.”
“That’s good.”
“No that’s bad.”
“That’s what you want.”
“Fine just listen to the devil.”
In school Tia saw a lot of money on the floor, she picked it up and put it in her bag and went into her class. At the end of the day Tia ran to the pet shop and looked at the dogs. She saw a baby dog, just like one in her dream and she bought it. She took the dog home with her and knowing that she had she done the wrong thing. She walked into her house and saw her mum, “Look, I bought this dog.”
“What? I can’t believe you bought a dog!” exclaimed mum.
“I really wanted her..”
“Where did you get the money?”
“I found it on the floor, on the way to the school.”
“Well, I suppose we have to keep it now. But you have to look after it.”
“I will”
“And please do not do this sort of thing again.”
Tia was sorry for buying the dog and promised never to do it again.
