Once there was a girl called Julia. She had brown blond hair, greenish brown eyes and purple glasses. All her friends at school had this awesome water bottle. It was a water bottle but at the bottom if you untwisted it, it is a cup. Julia really wanted one but her mum said, “No.”
“Please can I have one?” asked Julia.
“No, it’s a waste of money.”
“But all my friends have one and I will lose all of my friends if I don’t have one, please mum.”
“I told you, no it’s just a water bottle and you can make new friends, now shoo and do your homework.”
“Oh my mum, she doesn’t understand me.” Julia said sadly and feeling left out. Tears welled in her eyes.
The next day Julia went to wash her hands, and by the sink, she saw the cup water bottle! She had a dark thought to steal it, but she didn’t want to. She didn’t know what to do, should she steal it or not …
Julia didn’t know what to do. Just then two mini people popped up on her shoulders. One was a devil and the other one was an angel.
“Steal it steal it,” shouted the devil.
“Don’t do it do the right thing,” responded the angel.
“Don’t listen to her, all your friends have one and you don’t. So what do you say to that?”
“No! Don’t do it.”
“Sorry angel I have to steal it,” said Julia.
And she flicked the angel off her shoulder and made the choice to steal it. While her hands were getting closer to the water bottle her heart was beating so fast like she was running 7k. She was sweating a lot and she soon thought she’d be covered in sweat and her hands were shaking like she was freezing. She walked out of the bathroom quietly and held the water bottle behind her back. While she was walking, she felt so guilty like someone would find out soon. Her hands were still shaking. Just then she dropped the water bottle and it landed right next to her foot. Erin came out of the classroom looking sad because she lost her water bottle. Erin didn’t know that Julia stole her water bottle. Erin was going to the bathroom. She nearly saw the water bottle. Luckily, Julia picked up the water bottle as fast as she could.
“Phew,” said Julia.
As Erin walked past, she held the water bottle tightly and tip toed back. She had to get into the classroom as quick as she could so she threw the water bottle into her back pack. Julia felt like the bell would never ring for home time. Five minutes later the bell rang. Julia couldn’t wait to get rid of that water bottle. She was going to put it back where she found it, but then she heard Erin! “I’ll just have to throw it away,” whispered Julia.
She put the water bottle into her bag and went home. When she got home she opened her bag to throw away the water bottle. But when she looked inside it wasn’t there! She could have lost it on the way home! Julia felt guiltier than ever. Just then her mum came out and said
“Julia I have a present for you.”
“Really what is it?”
“It’s a cup water bottle!”
“Oh thanks mum.”
Julia felt even guiltier. So she threw the water bottle away. The next day Julia came into the classroom and saw Erin drinking with her cup water bottle!
“Erin, you have your cup water bottle?”
“I know some fool put it in my bag.”
“Erin I have a confession to make, I stole your water bottle and accidently put it in your bag.”
“I’m really sorry.”
“It’s ok at least you told me the truth.”
Just then Mr. Jones came.
“What’s wrong?” asked Mr. Jones
“I stole Erin’s cup water bottle.”
“Well you must be punished.”
“I know.”
“Your punishment is you have to clean up every year 4 class room.”
“Ok.”
From then on, Julia never stole anything again.
