julia and the farm

julia and the farm(luphilile sihluko) Long ago, a girl called julia and her granmother Elizabeth lived in a farm. julia had 2 brothers Frank and Walter. julia's parents and her granfather died. Her granfather was the owner of the farm.

Julia had the heart of planting and she is also brave and her granmother loved cooking. her brothers loved looking after the sheep, cows, pigs, goats, horses and rabbits.

There was a snake who was eating their rabbits but they did not know that. They used to count their livestock but now they do not count it.

One day frank suggested that they should start counting the live stock. Walter said "I thought that I was going to tell you but I forgot. I noticed that the rabbits are few".

Elizabeth said "that is a good idea frank. I hope we still have the book that keeps the records for the last time we counted them".

"Yes granma we still have it, it is in a drawer in my bed room" said julia.

"So let's use it and we must subtract and add. let's start with the sheeps" said Elizabeth.

"There were 32 sheep, we slaughtered 6 and 9 sheep were born. so(32-6)+9=35 so we must have 35 sheep.

There were 7 cows we slaughtered 3 and 4 calves were born. so (7-3)+4=8 so we must have 8 cows.

There were 13 pigs we slaughtered 3 and 2 piglets were born. so (13-3)+2=11 pogs we must have 11 pigs.

There were 5 goats we sold 2 and 3 were born. so (5-2)+3=6 we must have 6 goats.

We have not sold some horses so we must have 10 horses.

There were 16 rabbits we sold 2 and no rabbits were born.so 16-2=14 so we must have 14 rabbits" said Elizabeth.

They counted everything and they found out that there were 9 rabbits instead of 14.

They counted their stock everyday but what they saw was that the rabbits were getting fewer and fewer. they decided that tonight they are not going to sleep.

It was at night they did not sleep but at 3'o'clock granma elizabeth, frank and. Walter fell asleep. julia was the only person who was still awake.

Julia saw something long and shiny. Julia decided to follow it she saw that it was a snake.

The Snake saw julia and said "mhhhhhhh I will be getting a christmas feast tonight".

Julia had a sword in her hand.

"Which one must I start with, the girl or the rabbits?" The snake said "I must start with the rabbits and the girl will be my desert".

When the snake was about to eat the rabbits, julia stabbed it in the tail.

When it was trying to run, julia stabbed it in the stomach and it died.

Julia called her granmother and her brothers. they saw the thing that was eating the rabbits was the snake.
