“Blah! Blah! Blah!”, yelled Serena. “Would you stop with that?”, argued

Clemont. Clemont and Serena are next door neighbors. They would

argue all day long, you can’t exactly say they’re friends. Serena is a

smart girl who can think about something just for seconds, and get her

solution. Clemont is a guy with big glasses and loves to invent new

things. They both can argue for hours non-stop.

Clemont and Serena were so busy arguing, they were late for school!

Both of them ran as fast as lightning to their school. When they arrived,

the bell rang, and they hurried inside. They went in their classes, and

Mr. Brunner (Clemont’s class teacher) gave out notices about an ‘I

movie’ contest, The Big Contest. Everybody who participates has to

make an ‘I movie’. Whoever makes the best movie will win! Clemont

thought that this will be a great contest to decide who’s smarter

between him and Serena.

“Rrring”, screeched the recess bell in Clemont’s ears as he ran out to

find Serena. “Hey Serena, did you get a notice about The Big Contest?”,

Clemont asked curiously as Serena came outside. “Yeah, I did, and I

think we should compete”, Serena replied. And then, they both started

arguing about what update of iOS is needed to install the app ‘I movie’.

After school Clemont, Serena and John (Clemont’s younger brother)

started making their ‘I movie’. At home, Clemont and John talked about

their movies. Clemont was making his movie about inventions and

John’s movie was about school. Serena was making her movie on

The next day Clemont, Serena and John had to submit their movies. So,

they emailed their movies to their teachers. The speaker turned on and

the announcer said, “The winner of ‘The Big Contest’ is John! He made

his movie about school.”

In the end, neither Clement nor Serena won and they would have to keep arguing.
