The Birth Of Apollo 17(Gracen Brook) This is the story of how I became Apollo 17. It all started back in 10th grade. I went to Torch Barge High, TBH for short. I know it’s a strange name for a high school but I live in Wisconsin. I walked into my first period class and that’s when I saw her.
I walked up to this girl and I decided to introduce myself I said " hi my names Jason River. You are?" The girl said the funniest thing. She said “I’m single. Crap sorry my name is Paige Willow." "Nice to meet you Paige Willow” I said in a strained voice. She asked me to sit by her and I did, but I didn’t want to get up.
Later on we became friends and about a month later we started going out. She has the prettiest eyes. One of her eyes is blue and the other eye is green. She has long flowing blonde hair that she loves to put in a tight braid, and she also has a cute little button nose and she doesn’t wear make-up so what I see is real. The girl is HOT like the sun!!! As for me I have dark blue eyes that change colors from blue to green. I have short sandy blonde hair. I also have a button nose and ears that stick out. Honestly I don’t know what she sees in me.
A few weeks after we started dating we went for a picnic under the stars. I was the one who brought the food but she brought a basket as well. After we finished eating she leaned in very closely and I thought she wanted me to kiss her so I leaned in close, closed my eyes, and puckered my lips. Before our lips met she put her index finger on by lip and said " Jason what are you doing. I could see in her eyes that she was about to laugh, so I said trying to Suck your blood blagh blagh blagh blagh. She laughed and said “If you want a kiss that bad just ask." As soon as she said those words I screamed on the top of my lunges “I WANT A KISS." Right after that our lips joined, and about five minutes later we had to come up for air.
I could see it in her face that this isn’t what she was leaning in for, so I asked her what she was leaning in for and she said " oh yeah.” She opened her basket and light radiated from it. She said "hope you aren’t afraid of heights" and she shoved me into the basket.
When I opened my eyes I realized we were falling from the sky. Buildings coming closer and closer until we fell right through the roof, but before we smacked down on the floor I stopped and just floated. I said to Paige almost spitting fire out “what the heck? What was that?" Right after I finished those few words we smacked down on the floor holding a stick in her hand. I looked around the room trying to figure out where I was and I liked what I saw. Glass walls with marble columns standing right in front of the walls as far as the eye could see. Crystal chandeliers are hanging from the roof. Detailed paintings of babies with wings and with little halos. Floors tiled with porcelain and also in some areas carpet with the letters U.W. in calligraphy embroidered on red carpet. I turned around and finally noticed the group of people and behind them there was a sign that said "you are at the mercy of the council". As soon as I saw that sign everything went black.
I woke up just a few seconds to sticks pointed at me and I said “those aren’t magic so stop waving them around like wands.” As soon as I said that Paige turned around and flicked her wand and a flash of light busted out for the stick and blew a hole through the wall and pointed it in my direction moving me to the left and as soon as she did the flash of white light came back bursting through the other side of the building and it came back again and again and again. Well at least it did until one of the council members took out his wand and flicked it and the white flashing light disappeared as soon as he did he said" Jason so help me God I will personally slap you if you faint again” said Paige.
The council members went back to their seats and sat down. They beckoned me to sit so I did. I approached an empty chair and sat down. As soon as I did the council member in the center of the table sat down and said "Jason you are special. You are like us you have magic in your blood. That’s why your eyes can change colors, that is why you can see me, and that’s why you can see Paige. That is why you can touch her, and that is why you can kiss her” the head council man said. After he said that I blushed. I said back" why? Why me? What can I do and how does this work” I asked. It took a while for him to explain that but when he finished explaining how it worked he told me not to tell anyone how it worked, so I can’t tell you.

Six Months Later
I sit in my room and both of our wands are out. She is teaching me the proper way to kill a cult member “Okay Jason just take your arm like this and either chant or think the spell you want to cast and whip your wrist, and out comes the flash of light. It’s as simple and easy as that “Paige says. I follow all the steps except I don't flick my wrist right on purpose so the flash of light comes out but it flickers out and dies. I do that on purpose so she will guide me with her hands, but this time she knows what I’m doing so she flicks light out at me and I deflect it. “Ha I knew you where faking It." she says proudly. "Sorry Paige your just so pretty" I said hoping that that would calm her down. "Jason how many times do I have to tell you its Stella during training? Seriously though, how much have you mastered though?" Stella asked. “I have successfully mastered the Arad rum Getty spell, mastered my own spells, figured out how to make my own spells, made 3985 potions, and beat you at a duel twice. I thought to myself “I really hope she doesn't slap me for that last one." "Well Mr. Grand Master Wizard, you deserve a reward. “Come here" she said pulling me in closer with her wand closer and closer to her lips. She pressed her lips close to mine and kissed me passionately. I never wanted to move again.
When I got home I went to go make my potions. When I reached my room before entering I waved my wand and thought to myself " Firea Mortea Borea" and open the door I was in my potion lab. When I opened my potion supply pantry I realized I was out of hog’s saliva, toads toenail clippings, dragon breath, and worms luck. I know it all sounds disgusting. That’s because it is disgusting. When I discovered this I took out my wand but this time saying "Kalee Kaloo". Automatically my portal to the wizards market opened.
The wizard mart is not somewhere you want to go too often. It’s literally located on and asteroid. No one would go looking at the bottom of the ocean. If anyone did go looking all they would find would be in a cave. I walked through the entrance of the cave with a magical coating. When I walked through the door I was welcomed by the Claire statue. She is trapped inside pure sunlight. She was trapped there by the council members 6.5 billion years ago. That's as old as the earth itself. We have been here for a long time!!!!!
As I went along the shelf I looked around the store but there really wasn't that many people usually this place is packed. When I went to finish checking out all my supply's she rung the total up and she said that will be two potions. In the wizard world people use potions to buy other potions to make sure we don't run out of things. I walked out of the store leaving two potions on the counter walking out of the store with a smile.
When I finally got home I realized no time had passed. I don't know why it always shocks me coming back come from the wizard world. In the world of the none magic because it take a lot longer for time to pass by here. I set my bags down and went to work. I worked for three hours and when I finally finished I had made 7 potions.
When I went to bed I had a strange dream. I woke up in a dream and Claire was in my room floating in the air still encased in sunlight. She started to sing. When she started to sing the sunlight she was encased in began to crack. As it cracked it started to glow brighter and brighter white light began to flow out of the cracks. In an explosion of color, flames, and scorching heat the sunlight barrier diminished to nothing. What was left was a pale but beautiful girl with hair so black it would scare the devil himself. She was wearing a robe and her skin was so very pail. She was in mid spell when they trapped her because she muttered something and there was an explosion of light that woke me up.
When I awoke Claire was standing right in front of me staring at me intensely. I asked her "why are you here"? She said I am here to warn you powerful wizard if you get in my way I will end you, bionic mix." Bionic mix what I am a sorcery I just started sorcery training. Just because I’m a fast learner doesn’t mean I’m a powerful sorcery. I just started learning magic six months ago" I said. “Wow Stella really has kept you in the dark hasn’t she? You haven’t just started learning magic you have been learning magic for almost 7 billon years. You just keep on getting killed and restarting the cycle". "What cycle" I asked her? “OH my gosh, you’re in a maze you blithering idiot. This is a test, but now this is the last time you get to retry this maze trial. You only get so many redoes. I will be happy when this trial is over because I and the Doomsday members will be able to finally take over the universe, and we won't have to worry about the U.W or ECHO or any of the others because their leader will be fallen . I'd be suppressed if you knew about the prophecy" she said. “Prophecy? What prophecy" I said. "It doesn’t shock me. Why don’t you ask Stella? I’m sorry but I really must be leaving you for now ta tah.
As I waited at the park for Paige to show up I cradled my head in my hands as it pounded with thoughts. When she finally showed up a surge of rage went through me and all I could do was yell. “Why didn’t you tell me that I was destined to defeat Claire in a final battle good vs. evil? Claire paid me a little visit last night. She told me everything. She mentioned the prophecy. Would you like to enlighten me a little?" I said. “Jason I’m sorry I didn't tell you, but if you had known you would have killed Claire when she was in the sunlight trap. You have done it before and through off the whole timeline. We have had this conversation so many time's it’s not even funny. I just didn’t want to have to kill you again. I'm really sorry. When you through off the time line people aren’t born, People meet, people die on the wrong date, and I don’t meet you “she says. When she finished saying that I felt like a real jerk. “I’m sorry. She also mentioned that I have bionics" I said. “She told you that you have bionics. You shouldn't have bionics. Unless. That downright dirty pig. How old are you Jason?" “I’m Fifteen why?’’ "You aren’t supposed to be fifteenth you’re supposed to be sixteen. Of course he messed with the timeline so he could give you bionics. And if he gave you bionics then your magic must be stronger than we thought. Come on we have to go to the council.
When we finally reached the council building we fell through the roof again, but this time I stopped myself from hitting the ground instead of Stella because she always drops me. After I was safely on the ground I pointed my wand at the sealing and chanted fixes - tixes. The hole in the roof disappeared. Soon after that I hear a scream so loud so ear piercing that I had to cover my ears. When I turn around to see who it is I realize it's Stella. “Devantea where are you? Come out and face me like a man" she says so load it makes my ears ring. “Ye ye yes Paige “a very shaky voice says.” You gave him flipping Bionics? What else did you give him? Can he fly now?" she says. “Well I gave him blue, green, black, white, purple, orange, and red magic. I also gave him bionics and yes I did give him the power to fly" he says a little more firm but not much more. “I swear if this wasn't his last cycle I would kill all of your hard work" she says. “I have a question. How do I use all of this cool stuff" I ask? "We train. Train harder than you ever have trained and it starts now kid. If you don't like it you can come and complain about it to this fool" she says. "Let’s start training. I would rather train hard than take it easy and die when I start to fight Claire" I say enthusiastically. “Well then move out" she says.

"Jason wake up it's time to get started" Says Paige. "What time is it its still dark out" I say. Not in the wizard world. Now get up and stop complaining" she said. I roll out of bed tired, annoyed, and thrilled to take on the day all at the same time. When I finally get ready I lean in for a kiss, but she stops me with her finger. “Oh I see, can I have a kiss"? I asked her. “Of course not Jason, its training time” she said harshly. There will be plenty of time for that when Claire has been deafened" she says. After she says that I taste something sour and bitter in my mouth. I taste her words.

I find myself breathless running around a track in wizard world shooting at targets with my wand as I run around the track. We are training in an old abandoned wizard gym that she made me restore with the same spell I use to fix the roof within the Council Hall. As I run around the track shooting at targets she makes me use a certain spell on each target.
After three hours of casting the same spell's at targets over and over again Paige said it's time to start working with your bionics, and when she said that I got real excited. She opened a portal to a dessert and cast a heat shield over me. When we actually started to start working she would tell me how to do something.

"Alright Jason I want you to think about sound waves I want you to picture them in your mind. Now I want you to picture them slowing down. I will demonstrate" she said. She obviously is picturing the sound waves slowing down and when she does I her most ear piercing sound. It's even worse than what Stella did back at Council Hall. The sound goes on for about five seconds and then stops. "That is what you are able to do if you are able to slow down the sound waves but it won't affect you at all. Give it a try" she says. I follow all the steps correctly. Step one, picture sound waves in your mind. Step two pictures the sound waves slowing down. As soon as I picture the sound waves slowing down and explosion forms and I get knocked unconscious.
When I wake back up I know I am in wizard world because the sun is still up in high position but the clock reads 12:00 am. Its midnight. I see Paige staring at me looking perplexed. When she see's I awake the first thing that comes out of her mouth is "how did you do that? I have never seen anything that powerful before. I was knocked unconscious the only reason they found us is because of the massive explosion. It was sighted three hundred miles away. How did you do that? "She asked. "I don't know. How long have I been out?" I asked. "Four months in regular time. I lost count in wizard world time she said fighting back tears. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Everyone else back at home thinks you’re dead. I attended your funeral. They had a casket that they put stuff in for you they put all of you stuff in the casket. You can't go back home. I am so sorry." She said crying. After she told me this I started crying. “Jason when this is over your life will reset if you wish it to and you can go back home” she said holding back a dam of tears..
After about four or five minutes after we both finished crying I said "it's time to start training". So we did we started to train with more precaution though.
"Jason let’s get started. Alright let’s see we are going to be working on your ability to make you self look like someone else you going to shape shift. I want you to think of summons face. And body. Now I want to picture yourself. And finally I want you to think of yourself turning into that person or object. Give it a try but pick out something simple, And so help me God if you turn into a fish I will kill you before you can even suffocate" she said. I did all the steps and I was transformed into my father, then my mom, and last but not least I turned back into myself. "Wow! How do you always do it so fast? You have never had any bionics in any other cycle" she said. We worked on unlocking my bionic abilities for the remainder of that day.
"Up and at um Jason it’s time for stage three of your training. It's time to start combining your knowledge of bionics and your skills of magic" she said. "Paige we have been working nonstop since the accident" I groaned. “I told you when you finish your training you receive a nickname. You call me Stella during training. Okay? Do I need to punch it into your memory with my fist? She said. "No. Let’s just get started" I said.
I love the rush of traveling through portals. It’s so much fun. When we finally reached the area to train she said "time for that fixing spell you did" she said. I took my wand out and restored the area. When I opened my eyes they were met by white as far as the eye as could see. We were in Claire's house. “Its Claire's practice room she used when she was learning how to master her bionics. This place was abandoned about 6.4 billion years ago. She doesn’t care about this house because she built it in under like two seconds she has millions of houses" she said. “Let’s get started" I said.
"It's going to be really tricky combining your bionics. Even someone of your skill level Jason. To combine your abilities you have to clear your mind and think about what you have to think about when you are using your bionics while at the same time casting a spell. To start off pick something two simple things to start off with" she said. I thought in my mind about what I was going to do. I decided to do the fire breath bionic breath and the sonic boom spell. I said to Stella" you might want to take cover this might kill you because you’re not the one casting the spell". She went to the observation room on the side that is bionic and magic proof. I hear several latches locking. Through the glass I see her give me two thumbs up so I start the process.
I think to myself step one, clear your head. Step two, picture what you’re supposed to picture, so I picture fire coming out of my mouth and at the same time I cast the spell boom “equals doom”. As soon as those words come out of my mouth a circle as high as the ceiling made of fire appears and spreads apart getting bigger and bigger still being fueled by my mouth. I stop as soon as it is about to hit the glass window and the fire disappears. She picks up a microphone from inside the safe room and through an intercom system she says “that was good let’s try a more complex combination. Feel free to use more than two things in a combo, but if you’re not ready for that it's okay it to me a while to learn how to do more than two abilities at a time". I signaled her with two thumbs up that I was ready to begin.
While I was trying to decide abilities to do a thought came to mind. You have all the colors of magic. Each color has a different purpose, so why not combined them all. So I thought of the bionic outlet that controls the magic flow. I pictured the colors blue, green, black, white, purple, orange, and red flowing out of the outlet and I waved my wand and a rainbow of all colors burst out. That when I found myself in a stadium filled with colors.
Surrounding me where flames of every color of magic. There were blue flames as well as green, black, white, purple, orange, and red. All the flames where in a stadium all in specific sections. At the middle of the stadium there was a shape. As soon as I looked at it there was a flash of light and then bam. I found myself on the field standing right by the other shape. When I took a closer look at the other flame I realized that it was yellow.
"Settle down, settle down. Everything is going to be alright. This is Jason" the yellow flame said. When he said my name silence fell. “I thought there wasn’t any yellow magic left in the universe" I said. The yellow flame said “I am the last bit of yellow magic. Claire was coated in yellow magic. Most people think it’s sunlight. But that’s not important Jason. We have brought you here Jason because our worlds are in danger. Claire has ransacked half the magic worlds in the universe. She has killed most of the people of each planet. She always spares two from each planet so that they can tell the tales of each attack that she has had on the planets. She is saving earth for last you need to stop her before she gets to earth. Because if you defeat her everything will be restored, but if you fail the universe will cease to exist. Go quickly.

When he finished saying quickly there was a flash of light, and when I opened my eyes again I was back in the training room with Stella telling me about how you can use more than two ability at a time. When she finished I flashed myself over to the door. She unlatched the door and I went inside to tell her about everything that I had saw and heard. When I finished I had to fight back the tears. She said " it's okay to cry Jason your under a lot of pressure. So I cried and I cried hard. “I am Paige right now not Stella" she said. She leaned in for a kiss and I embrace her.
When we got done I said “we need to get back to practice". She sadly agreed and when I got out of the door she latched it shut. Feeling refreshed I stood in the center of the room thinking about what I was going to do. I decided on doing shape shift ability with the sonic screech ability, as well as the fire breath ability.
I thought of what I wanted to shift into and the sound waved slowing down and fire coming out of the mouth of the thing I wanted to shift into. When I finished doing all the steps standing in my place was a giant fire breathing dragon. When I breathed fire the sonic screech comes out at the same time. I picture myself back to normal, but when I get back to normal I look into the window and there's no one there. I think about a cockroach and turn into one and slide under the door. I picture myself and I turn back to normal. I look around but there is no one there all that there is left is a not that says:

As soon as I finish reading it I flash out. When I reach Aqua Sentor I find nothing but a desert and Claire sitting on throne with Stella tied up to a punned fold up chair. I say almost spitting out pure rage “CLAIRE, you can hurt me you can even kill me, but you DO NOT hurt the people I love the most. Let’s settle this in a civilized manner. On the battle field”. "Alright Jason fight" she says. She takes out her wand and flashed Stella back. "Shall we start?'' she asks.” We shall" I said.
I think of sound waves slowing down, and cast a tornado spell. An ungodly screech comes out of my mouth in the form of a tornado that knocks Claire off balance. As soon as I see she is off balance I cast the sonic boom spell knocking her off of her feet and hurtle a ball of fire straight towards her. She flashes out of the of the fire ball right before impact. She hasn’t appeared yet. She flashes right behind me and she flicks a ball of light right at my back which knocks me down. She flicks another ball at me, so I get up and out of the way. Right after a move she shoots lightning at me and it went through my chest. She shoots a fire ball at me and I was gone.
I find myself in the stadium and the first say is "oh God please don't let this be the afterlife". I stand up groaning on the field. The yellow flame is on the field. “Fellow brothers Jason River need our help. He is badly injured and his body will not last forever. The only reason he is alive right now is because he is bionic, and magic. This has never happened before except in one other person. Claire. He is more powerful than her but his magic is not complete, and his bionics are new. I say we the people of the remainders of our planets should help him by merging ourselves with him. She is heading for earth in two weeks and it is our responsibility to help him, so if you’re with me, merge with him if you’re not, then get OUT"! He said. Soon all the flames started to pile in to me until all that was left was one shape the last yellow shape. Before the yellow flame merged into me he said “Jason before you go into battle you need to practice your attack moves. You have more power. You don’t want to blow up now do you? One more thing Jason. Kick her butt!” He said. When he finished saying that he went inside of me and I felt a surge of power through my body. My body was glowing from all of this new power. Then something unexpected happened. A burst of light can through my hands, eyes, and mouth. After that I hear a faint whisper that said “the collection of magic is complete”.
I take my wand and I think a spell to myself and move my wand around water and move it around. I think to myself what if my wand breaks during the battle. I look at my hands and a smile pops up on my face. I picture my bionic outlet that allows magic through. I picture blue, green, black, white, purple, orange, red ,and yellow and I flick the wand at my right hand and do the same steps, but this time instead of using my wand I flick my right hand at my left hand and I think to myself “you just made the first hand wands. Let’s test these bad boys out. I flash off to the nearest lake and I take my hands put them out in front of the lake, think the spell and raise my hands clenching my hands and the whole lake comes up. I think to myself “oh yeah I’m ready to take on Claire.”

I think of how she kidnapped Paige, I think of how she killed all of those innocent people, but most of all I think about how Claire tried to kill me. Full of rage I flash off ready for revenge. When I reach Claire I say “hey Claire lets finish this where we started it. On the battle field. We both flash out to the battle field in the desert where we started the battle. Before Clare has time to make any snappy remarks I shape shift into my dragon combo, but this time the dragon is twice the size as last time I used the combo. I breathe fire and slow down the sound waves again causing the sonic screech combo knocking her down. As soon as she hits the ground turn back to normal and go straight into the fire tornado combo but she flings water out of her wand making the fire die down. She flings pebbles at me with her wand causing a few jagged ones cutting my face. I look at her and all I can do is smile because she actually looks scared. I picture lasers shooting out of my eyes and they do, they shoot her in the leg. She goes down screaming. When she gets up and she lifts her hands and she goes up rising into the sky. When she stops she looks at me and I can see pure rage in her eyes. She says one word she says “archly” and after that she lifts there wand and pure black light comes out that look like ghosts come out. When the black light stops radiating from the wand she flicks her wand again, and when she does an explosion of white light spreads across the desert. I find myself disoriented and blinded by the light, but when my vision clears I see an army of men with no pupils in there eyes. There eyes are just white. They look soulless. “One person isn’t that hard Jason, but let’s see how you do against an entire army. I quickly I think of flames surrounding my arms. I whip them at the soulless men turning them to ashes with just one flick of the arm . Soon there nothing left but ashes and Claire. I flick my wand at her knocking her out of the sky. Before she hits the ground she flashes out and lands safely on the ground. Claire flicks her wand and coming right for me is a dagger speeding at me and it goes right into my arm. I scream in pain pulling the dagger out of my arm, and I am mad. I realize its time to use the Aalen totem spell. It’s only for emergencies, and this is a major emergency. “Aalen Totem aborem” I say. When I do an explosion of water, air, fire, and rock, head right for Claire. She deflects it, and I almost fall out with shock. That when I know in that moment its time for the magic fire ball.

I take my hands and make little color flames for each type of magic and she stands up and says “big deal everyone has the same type of magic.” I smile a little and add a yellow flame and Claire trembles and she says “where did you get that no one has had yellow magic for years. It’s the magic of fear that’s why they took it away from everyone and trapped me in it."

“I’m sorry I can’t hear you over a girl named Claire not taking over the universe” I say taunting her. I turn the seven flames into a ball and hurl it at her, but I look away as she turns to ash.
After she turns to ash I collapse to my feet and a rainbow of light appears from my hands eyes and mouth. All the Flames are returning home as well as the other Jason’s. The last flame to come out is the yellow flame and says to me “we are a lot like each other you and me Jason. We are the last of our kinds I’m going to stay with you. We work well together”. All I could do was nod and smile.
“Today is the day Jason. It’s your recognition ceremony. You saved the universe you deserve this” said Paige. “Well then let’s go we don’t want to be late” I said. Soon after that we flashed out. When we arrived I discovered the ceremony was at the Council Hall. At the front of the room there are two seats. In one seat the head council man sat and in the other I was supposed to sit. When I sat down in the seat the room went quiet the head council man said “Jason River has shown exemplary courage in the face of danger, and defeated Claire forever in a battle. He saved the entire universe and that is why we want to name him Apollo 17 king of the horizon. Jason says " I am Apollo 17 king of the horizon, and I'm not going anywhere".
