Love lost

By Chantry
Born 1979, M, from Oregon, United States
View Author Profile

A love has been lost, one of my own. Now a father must follow where he cannot go.
I do this now for one that I love, for no other reason than I must. I must now follow the unfollowable.
I must reach my hand out into the darkness and follow this path to it's end. I must, with all of me, attempt to bring light for the possibility of darkness.
with all that my soul will allow, and more, I must find the love I have lost.
I know not where love has gone. I know not where this path will end. My soul shows the tiniest hint of a shadowy-trail, Like an echo of love calling me in.
I leave love behind in the brightness of day, to follow loves trail to an unknown end. I embrace this fate, for the life that shall now be lost is my own,
for the love I have lost shall never be alone. A smile of my child is clear in my head. No choice can be made when only one remains. The thoughts of my baby,
now all alone and scared, are far too much for this father to bear. I will do what cannot be done. I will find you...
