My Daughter was a Tinkerbell,
Her Dances never Failed:
She Dribbled Juice and Tested You,
Her Diapers in a Pail.
She Greeted at the Front Door,
Required an Evening Hug:
She left a Million Laughs and Toys,
On Mama’s Front Room Rug.
Her first Report Card; a History Book,
Her Grades were always Great:
Her First Tooth placed under a Pillow,
With God’s Love and Endless Grace.
The Opening of the Back Door,
As We moved her Items Out:
Left Tears in the Eyes of Everyone,
For one who Marries no Doubt.
A new man Hugs and Greets Her,
Tenderly you visit New and Loving Souls:
A little girl still Hugs You,
And thanks you for her Worldly Goals.
No one ever Feels My Pain,
Or Sees the Tears upon My Chin:
When Daddys give up their Daughters,
Your turn to Change the World and Win.
