Sunny has grown up into a man now. At 27 he is well settled in a decent job in one of the Top MNC in Bangalore.

He is quite happy today. Its been two years to his relationship with Sarah. He has planned a grand dinner for her to celebrate the occasion at one of the luxurious resorts of the city.

As they were driving back from the resort.

"Hey Sunny, you are the best person I have known in my life. You have such a hectic schedule and still you care about my happiness so much. You are just like my mom sunny. I love you..."

Sunny who was smiling all the time..was left with a pause hearing the word… Mom…

The car stopped with a jerk in front of a big gift shop… Sarah was awestruck with what just happened.. Before she could ask anything.. Sunny hurried out of the car and went inside the shop…

His eyes were wet.. His hands were searching something and his mind was wandering in the past… In his childhood.. He was 10 when he had lost his father. His mom had to toll hard to raise the only child. She has made a lot of sacrifices to give him a successful career… Everyday from his childhood could be seen alive in front of his eyes.

He was desperately searching for a gift he could send to his mom on her birthday two days later.

He wanted to gift her the most special.. The perfect gift..

The lady manager of the shop was quietly watching him since he had entered her shop.. She tried to enquire from Sarah standing at the gate about what has happened.. But looking at her.. She grasped.. Even she is a stranger to the situation.

What you looking for? Son.. The lady finally asked Sunny..

Nothing.. He answered as he kept checking all the showpieces kept…

I think you are looking for something for your mother? The lady judged from the type of showpiece sunny was looking at..

Yes.. Sunny said..

I can help you dear.. The woman offered to help…

But how will you know.. What my mother will like?

Because I am also a mother.. The lady said with a warm smile. When did you last meet your mother and spent some time with her?

The question.. As if tore him apart.. He can’t even recollect properly when he had dinner with his mother for the last time.. He visited her last 6 months ago when he went home to attend his friends marriage… In fact he always has visited his home like this.. It was more of a ritual for him to visit once in every 6 months and then actually spend time with his friends till late night.

He has been so busy in his job and other stuff that he has almost forgotten his mother.

Tears rolled down his cheeks.. The lady gave a pat on his shoulder…
Dear Son.. Your mother doesn’t need any of these things.. She just needs your time. That is the most precious gift.. The perfect one…

Sunny realised he had seen loneliness in his mother’s eyes every time he saw her. But he never paid heed to it..

He immediately asked Sarah if she could book a flight for tomorrow morning.. I will spend the whole week with my mom…

He took a card from the shelf and wrote on it… I love you mom.. I miss you…
