EARTH - Our Home(JD) The Earth is our home.
The only home we will ever have.
There is no other planet in the known universe
with air we can breathe,
water we can drink,
soil we can plant in,
and resources we can harvest.
Even if there were...
we haven't found it yet and have no way to get there.

Whether you believe there are other planets out there
that can sustain life, or not, makes no difference.
WE human beings only have this one.

Whether you believe this world was created for us
as our gift to care for and to sustain us, or not, makes no difference.
We are here,
and we need this Earth in order to continue to exist.

We need clean air to breathe.
We need fresh water to drink.
We need fertile soil to grow.
We need a climate that supports a full diversity of life.
We need to CARE for our home in every way we possibly can.

It is not about you, or me, or just your community, or your country, or mine.
It is about ALL of us, everywhere, and whether our children have a future...
and what that future will be....

We must ALL do what we CAN, every day,
not just on 'Earth Day',
to ensure we have a future worth living for....

Please care for our earth - in all you do.
For you, for me, for all of us
and for those who will come after us
to continue on the path we have made
for them to follow....
