Whammy dedicates 300 game
M, from Bluegill, Brighton, IL, United States.jpg)
Hello, my name is Scott Watson, nicknamed (Whammy) by a good friend (Dale Hicks) who has since passed on. About 20 years ago Dale and I bowled together on a Friday night league. To end the night Dale would always bowl the last ball of the night between his legs just for the fun of it. Shortly after his passing, I started bowling between my legs while practicing to keep Dale's spirit alive. At first, I was getting a strike every now and again. I then started bowling 200 games. I thought if I bowled a high enough score I would like to dedicate the game to Dale's memory. Then on Tuesday, May 11, 1993 at Strike & Spare Lanes in St. Louis, MO. I bowled a perfect 300 game between my legs. I had a couple that was bowling next to me and witnessed every ball that was thrown between my legs. I got the printout and had the man (Jack D. Smith) sign his name on it. I wrote, "I could not have done it without you Dale," on the printout, then I put it on a nice plaque.
