Closed down in 1957,Suadi Arabia
Born 2010, F, from Kerala, IndiaI was hiding in the rooftop when we were playing hide and seek. and that's when I saw a box in the shadow of the water tank in the corner. I climbed down and picked it up, it was a light brown box with "1957,Suadi Arabia" written on it which was weird cause that's where my father and mother came from. I opened it and found some newspaper cut outs of articles and photos along with some documents of some deal. after looking through all the stuff I found out that it was all about a high school in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia that apparently got closed down by the government in 1957. This school, Khalid Al Wadid High School used to be a very popular but strict school that was known for having most of the State-rank students. But in 1955 a new administration joined and overtook the high school completely, they made the school even more strict. At first, students were not allowed to take leaves unless their parents themselves came and explained their reason and then take the leave. Then they did not let students to take sick leaves unless their condition was really serious if they did not follow these rules the teachers were told to fail the students that year, Because of this a few parents were furious and took their children out of the school a few teachers also left, other than this the high school was doing fine. Until in September 21st 1956 the Administration decided to cut the Summer Holidays. The whole school was shook, the Administration head in the school said that the administration officials think that it is for the best, as most students forget what they learned before the holidays and come to school with blank minds, that some students take time to come back to school as their either visiting their homeland or going to new places. and these problems will be avoided with this rule. This lead to a huge out break between the school and the administration. students, parents and also the teachers started protesting against the administration, there were weekly protests after school, a few teachers and star students even went on televsion shows to try to get support from the public. Eventually in 1957, this incident caught the eye of the Saudi Arabian government and they did their best interest in resolving this issue and the "administration" was banned from all the Suadi Arabian schools in February 22nd 1957. I was happy that the government got rid of that cruel administration as I do not know how the students and teachers along with their family manage with having no Summer Holidays, I looked through some of the photos and documents and I came across a document between the school and the administration, I saw that the principal of the school at the time was Saif Ahmed and the leader of the administration was Mohammed Shahid, both the names sounded very familiar like I've heard it somewhere and that's when it struck me, my mother's grandfather's name was Mohammed Shahid and my father's grand father's name was Saif Ahmed, this means my parent's grandfathers fought with each other once, this means.... I am the great-gran daughter of the villain?
