Asylum

I am in a forest. I am running through the forest. What am I running from? Who's after me? I see a fence. I grab on to the fence. I look behind me. I see a building. Lights and alarms are blaring at the building. Why? No good. I'm desperate. What is it that hurts? I come to a clearing. There are people there. No. Not people. Something else. They stop me. No. I cannot be stopped. I MUST not be stopped! They try to tell me I am sick. That I need medication. I lie. 'I'm all right' I tell them. Still they come closer with long thin needles. No. Not again. I don't want to be stabbed again. My arms start pulsing. I am in pain! They grab my hand. I pull back. I am turning into something. They are turning into something. What? It hurts! Make it stop....JUST MAKE IT STOP!! I fight them. They tear at me. There are too many, I won't make it! No. I need to make it. Because they're waiting for me, I must not fail them! Who? I fall down. I am covered in blood. My vision blurs. They come with needles and cruelty. I come with pain and innocence. But no one knows. I am alone. I hear the waves. I am so close! One of them tells another to end my life. I am no longer useful. I am no longer sane. He comes with an injection. They start to gamble for my body. He stabs my arm with the needle. He injects the fluid. I am dying. I have failed them. NO! NOT YET! I hoist my heaving and heavy body up. They do not notice me. I dash for the edge of the cliff. They chase me. I am cornered. No. I look down into the depths. I jump. Then, I hit the water....

I awake. My face is dripping sweat. I look out the window. I am still here. I reach up, and my hand starts pulsing. Why am I here? What is it that I am? Who is it that I need to see? I hear them. They are coming. I am going to be in pain. Unless, I turn into that something that I am....
