Lizards Love Lollipops

Lizards love lots of things that you and I may find strange.
Like lots of weird and wonderful foods and loads of crazy games.

Some lizards love to eat insects, they just love the way they crunch.
While for others it’s the big fat squidgy ones that they would rather have for lunch.

Some lizards love fruit no matter what size or shape.
They love to eat it so much they would eat a wrinkly, stinky, mouldy old grape.

Lizards also have a favourite sport that may seem strange to your eye.
Because unlike our favourite sports it involves a big, fat, hairy fly.

They uncurl their tongues and use them like bats,
And if the fly tries to run away they simply squash it flat.

But there is one thing that is loved around the world by lizards and people alike.
Something that is so yummy to eat that I could eat it all night.

Lollipops are great, they’re just so sweet and nice.
But these lizards have a use for them doesn’t seem quite right.

They tie the sticks to their backs while the tasty bit is used as a hat.
It keeps the sun out of their eyes, so I’ve heard, and is very fashionable at that.

To lizards lollipops are also great fighting sticks, they make an awesome smashing sound.
But to me it is such a waste to see them in pieces on the ground.

Friday night is always a funny sight, under the stars and bright moonlight.
As hundreds of lizards all stand in a line with lollipops in hand.
Using them as microphones singing songs so beautiful and grand.

But by far the most popular use for lollipops, and with this I have to agree.
Is to sit in the sun with your all time favourite flavour or three.

Just sit on a rock and laze away the day.
Licking and licking those lollipops away.
