IN THIS TOWN

IN THIS TOWN(Dorsey Baker) Henry was out on the highway hitchhiking. He didn't know where he was going; he just knew that he wanted to leave this town. He was fed up with this town. He'd been out looking hard; trying to find work and no job could he find. He'd broken up with his girlfriend. It wasn't because of anything that she had done; he just thought that it was time for him to move on. He liked her; but he wasn't in love with her! At first he thought he was; but now he was certain that he wasn't! She was just another pretty girl-and pretty girls come-a dime a dozen! He wasn't getting any younger! And he thought that it was time for him to invest his time into finding out who he was! He didn't really know much about himself. No, not as much as he would like! And this town was depressing! Everybody knew everybody and everybody's business! He didn't like that! He didn't have any money and he didn't have any business; and his girlfriend was gone. It was a choice he had made! "These people today they don't trust nobody!" He thought. Car after car went past him; no one wanted to pick him up! He didn't want to live in this town any longer. He didn't want to be buried in this town! Then he thought to himself "Maybe it's Gods' will-I live in this town and be buried in this town. Maybe it's Gods' will- that I find myself in this town! In this town!
