The Great Lady Writer
Born 1949, M, from NLR /Arkansas, United StatesShe had muscled arms and legs. She had the body of an athlete. Her hair she wore uncombed. Her clothes were plain and ordinary. She had a face not ugly; not beautiful, but somewhere in-between. She had a slight limp. Her speech was quick but soft in tone. She read from her great works! Her novels...her poems...her essays. As she read: Her voice was spell-binding! She became "the stories...the poems...the essays." When she was finished, we all left the room. "the stories...the poems... the essays, leaving with us! And the "great" lady writer "I asked for her autograph."
