Love Is Death

By Jasmine
Born 1997, F, from South Carolina, United States
View Author Profile

He inhaled her, every last inch, knowing he was losing her again. He savored the moment deeply, but he knew it was time to say goodbye. "I love you" she sobbed in his chest. He knew those three words all too well. He knew she meant them, lived by them, would die becouse of them. "I love you too" he answered gently yet passionately. He filled his lips with hers greedily and full of sorrow and regret. He hated doing this to her. He remorsed in loving her. Yet he kissed her so lovingly like she wasn't fading into nothingness. He held her tenderly never wanting to let her go. "Goodbye, my love" she said softly. She closed her eyes aware of their fate. He stared motionless as his only love slipped away yet again. The sheer anger built from all the years was gravitated towards his endless curse. He reached for his dissipating love trying not to let her be torn from life, their life, this time. Alas, she faded into dust. He franticly scooped up the remnants and tried to put them together, to mold them back into her perfect shape. He knew it was the end, yet he couldn't, wouldn't let go of the girl he loved. He pulled himself together and did what he usally did. What she wanted him to do each time. He scattered the ashes into the ocean surrounding them, with tears in his ghostly green eyes. "Goodbye, my dear" he said as he did so many times before. Then he swam away letting his tears dissolve into the cold unforgiving water. He bathed himself in her ashes, letting her seep in his skin and soak his wild black hair. He never meant to wound her, but their love was so devoted and magnetic that death could not seprate their intertwining paths. With a final few tears and the gash from sorrow fresh in his chest, he leisurely sank bellow the waters surface. Back to the firey inferno he called home. There he would weep for her. There he would wait, prisoner to his desire, for his one true love, his life, his grueling punishment, his innocent tormenter. There he would wait for her.
