Girl in the River
Born 1949, M, from NLR /Arkansas, United StatesWhen at first I saw her, she was taking a swim in the river. A perfect form; beautiful body. Strong and graceful. just a girl taking a swim in the river. I couldn't help but keep on looking; watching her swim so smoothly through the water. She swam and swam and never seemed to tire. So amazing it was to me! She never seemed to tire of swimming in the river, and I never tired of watching her as she swam. The way she swam, it was as if the river was her home; her only home. The river was big and wide; but as I watched her swim; she swam as if it was not! Her arms in and out of the water; her legs in and out of the water, too. But the hair on her head was beautifully long and flowing; its image reflected in the water. I wondered if she noticed me watching her; if she was afraid or if she knew and it didn't bother her. I still wondered if she would tire of swimming and emerge from the river. She never did. At least while I was there, she never did. Maybe it was just my imagination! Maybe I saw no girl in the river! Maybe it was all just a dream.
