‘Between the woods in the old valley lay a man buried with a doll in his hand…’Strange isn’t it. Hi guys guess what I was doing…Right, reading a book about the alien doll. Ok now let me explain me to you. My name is Priya and I live in India, New Delhi. I am so much fond of books. Just because of my dream I want to have a big book collection. I like every book but I am very much fond of horror or ghost books. Every time I read some mysterious books. Well nothing mysterious happened till now but when totally into my books I truly want something mysterious to happen. But my routine never ever includes mystery. It wents on like that on the other days. Sometimes why I feel I like more my books than friends, relatives. That day too when coming back from school I was reading a book and was lost in it. When suddenly my eyes fell on something under my knee. I bent to see what came across my path, and to my great surprise I found a doll under my leg. I don’t know what made me pick up that doll and I headed fast to my house. ‘What are you carrying dear?’ my mom asked. ‘Oh! Nothing just a doll I found on the road today.’ I replied. ‘From which day are you taking interest in dolls?’ she questioned again. ‘I don’t have any interest in dolls, I took it for Seema.’ I said in an unanswerable voice. ‘Thank you Priya’ she said. My younger sister Seema, just two years younger than me. She was totally the opposite of me. She was having a very big collection of dolls. We had fights between us but no matter we loved each other a lot. ‘Oh look how beautiful she is’ she said looking at the doll. I went to my room and threw myself in my bed. I was feeling totally exhausted when my dog Mickey came running in. Mickey my dog… actually my friend…err…best friend. We had Mickey since I was three and from that day we were best of friends. ‘Children come down and have lunch. It is ready’ mom called us. I went down followed by Mickey who ran down fast and went to the backyard. Seema too came with the same doll which I gave her. Before that Mickey had went outside to play with his dog mates. As we started eating the lunch he threw open the door and went in. When he saw that doll in Seema’s lap he started behaving rudely first he barked at it showing his anger, after barking once or twice he went back to the backyard barking loudly. No one cared about him because they know that dogs have a habit of barking. But after having lunch I asked Seema that isn’t Mickey behaving strange because he never behaved such strange even when a stranger passes through the road. ‘Must be getting scared of my doll’ she laughed. I also started laughing on hearing Seema’s little joke. But that whole day Mickey was sitting under a table quietly not daring to come out. Usually he plays with me and Seema but that day he didn’t even barked when I put the dish in front of him. I was not having any idea that Mickey was actually and truly scared of that doll which I gave to Seema. I was taking that as Seema’s joke. As I don’t take any interest in dolls because I think that was all little kids stuff and we are actually grown up kids, but then too Seema loved dolls. That night I slept little thinking about Mickey I was actually feeling pity for him. Seema is having many dolls but never has he reacted on the other dolls like that when mom brought it for Seema. I tried to sleep but every time black thoughts surrounded my mind. I couldn’t sleep that day worrying about Mickey. Next day when coming from school mom was dressed in black coat with her bag and was ready to go out for shopping. She told me that she shall be back before 6 and also ordered me to look the house and take care of it, saying so she went out. I had lunch and then went back to my room. I lay down in my bed reading my book .Entrance door was locked from inside and windows were also closed so there was no condition for any thief to come in. I thought to give bread and butter to Seema for lunch as there was plenty in the fridge and chocolates when she will come back from her dance classes {obvious her next hobby. Dancing} Suddenly I heard someone munching in the kitchen constantly. It looked as if someone was eating very fast munching the food. I crept out of the room quietly and went in the kitchen to see who was eating so fastly. Suddenly the voice stopped as I hurried towards the kitchen. I saw no one there. I opened the fridge and was shocked to see the whole fridge empty. Not even the jam was spared by the thief. Every thing was licked up properly by the thief. Suddenly I thought of chocolates and ice cream, I quickly opened the refrigerator and was in total shock when I saw Seema’s doll in the refrigerator. Seema isn’t careless about her dolls I thought to myself. Every time she kept her dolls in the cupboard. So why is this doll kept here? But suddenly I thought of what to give my dear sister for lunch as nothing was kept in the fridge. She would come home hungry thinking this I quickly took my pocket money and went to the market to buy ready made pasta. I quickly made a call to my mother and told her about the incident. As we were very rich mother didn’t feel nothing important to call the police. She told me that she will bring enough grocery and sweets for us on her way back home. When at 4 my sister came home she quickly leapt on the ready made pasta. I also told her about the incident that occurred in her absence. How my doll got into the fridge? She questioned me. ‘I didn’t kept it when I saw the refrigerator the doll was kept in it’ I said her thus closing the subject. When mom came back home Seema asked mom that if she has brought something for her. Mother smiled and gave her a doll bigger than the normal ones. Seema felt excited and thanked mom on giving her a beautiful doll. Mom handed me a ghost book and I also thanked mom for giving me an interesting book. Why I felt I saw the doll which I gave to Seema crossing her eyebrows on seeing the new doll just feeling jealous of it. Suddenly I thought about Mickey he was not entering the house for last 2 days. He was acting so different. Is this doll truly an alien? I thought to myself. But then giggled on a silly joke cracked by me. Next day was Sunday and I usually sleep long on Sundays. But this Sunday I was awakened by the scream that rang the house. Seema was screaming loudly so I and mom quickly went to see what was the matter that troubled Seema. When we went in we saw Seema wet with tears. Mom hugged her and asked her why she was crying so much. ‘Mother the doll you gave me yesterday is broken into pieces’ she said crying. When I and mom saw the doll we found it broken into pieces so actually Seema was right. ‘Never mind dear, I will bring a new doll much better than the old one’ mom said consoling Seema and took her to the living room. When I again saw that doll I found that it was looking as if laser beams were attacked to it. To my surprise I found the doll which I gave to Seema was also lying there although Seema kept it in her cupboard. I thought that there is something mysterious with the doll which I brought to the house and decided to keep an eye on it. The very next day when I was on my way back home still thinking about the yesterday’s incident I found a huge spaceship in the forest that was almost alone not experienced the humans for a long time. I was in total horror as I went in secretly and found numerous dolls fighting with each other and speaking a language that was not familiar to mankind. I quickly recognized the whole matter and fastened my way to home. When I went home I found mother and sister sleeping. But when I tried to speak to them they would not utter a single word that made me clear that they were actually fainted. I went to my sister’s room and found the doll alive. She was looking huger and more powerful than before. She was eating away my sister’s dolls and other materials too. I then realized the reason for Mickey to feel scared by the doll because it was actually an alien. I was not daring to step in as the doll was looking more powerful than before. Firstly I needed something mysterious to happen in my boring life but now when actually a mysterious thing is taking place in my own home I was feeling scared of it. I was thinking of that inauspicious hour of the day when I let this doll in my house. When suddenly my heart sank down, I felt my lungs stopped breathing as I found the doll saw me. I was feeling so scared on seeing that doll smiling at me in a most mischievous manner. I can’t help out crying but it looked as if I forgotten how to cry. I want to run away from that room but it looked as if my legs left my side and were not willing to run. That alien doll raised her laser finger at me but suddenly the door fell open and Mickey walked in barking loudly. That alien doll put some powder like substance into my and Mickey’s face. We fell into a deep sleep full of black thoughts. When we opened our eyes we found ourselves sitting behind bars but that place was not at all looking similar to the ones in which we live. It looked as if we were in the outer place and we were for sure. And that was the same spaceship I had seen when I was on my way back home I thought. I tried to remind something and reminded that, that alien doll has spread a powdery substance in our faces and we must be led here in this outer space. Now the problem was how to get back to our dear earth. We were not familiar about the alien’s language and so we cannot understand anything. ‘We both together will soon find a way out.’ I said to Mickey. Mickey barked in answer as well as in excitement. Suddenly that alien doll came face to face to us. She was smiling at us which I could never understand the reason behind this for smiling. ‘We have traced the language which you speak in your country by the advanced technological system that may be never going to be invent in your earth. This is the reason I can speak your language and you might understand too. Since when I have come to your house I found out that your dad is a great big scientist. Your dad can help us complete our mission in exploiting humans especially their earth because these humans are the first intelligent beings in the whole universe. If they will be exploited the only intelligent being in the whole universe will be aliens.’ Saying so that alien doll went away and I fell in a deep thought for how to escape from this place and save human kind. Finally I decided to destroy these aliens so that human beings may live in peace. But first of all I have to come out from this bail so that my plan can success. I started looking here and there but didn’t found the keys of this place. Suddenly I noticed a screen with many buttons on it. I pressed few buttons and then a blue box appeared on the screen saying password. I tried of every password I knew would work but every time it failed to recognized the user. At last with shivering hands and full of hope I tried out the password, ‘Human Exploitation’ which turned out to be right. The door opened and I and Mickey were freed. As there was no one outside we felt this as an easy chance to escape from there. But as we stepped outside a siren rang out which was making very much sound. I knew that this would happen so I warned Mickey to run after me. We didn’t knew the geography of that unusual spaceship so we were running here and there. Suddenly there were number of aliens coming towards us. I looked here and there but there was no space to creep in. Suddenly I noticed many hand pistols hanging on my left side. I took out one pistol and attacked the group of aliens. The shot killed 2-3 aliens but not more. Suddenly Mickey jumped on the aliens and started biting them hard. The aliens were screaming in pain but we didn’t care about it. We had got the chance to flee from there and wasted no time in looking them. We were just running when another group of aliens attacked us. I had kept some of the electrical pistols in my pocket. I quickly took out 1-1 pistols in both hands and started attacking them. Now I was in a mood to fight with the aliens and Mickey too helped me. It looked as if he was also enjoying the fight and ready to demolish them. I saw some bombs kept in a transparent box and took out two from them. I threw one bomb in the group of aliens and many of them fell dead. Hence we escaped from there also. I noticed an elevator and went on it. Mickey was not at all exhausted from the fight and was ready for other fight too. We didn’t know that all this happenings was that alien doll seeing. At last when everything was up to a limit she dressed herself for the fight and went to the place where I and Mickey were standing and looking here and there to find any place. When suddenly that alien doll came there with all her alien mates. I was feeling very very angry on seeing these dirty cartoon creatures. I actually hated to see these creatures as it make me feel angry. I and Mickey took positions and fell on these creatures like angry animals. That doll was seeing her mates demolished by us from a distance. She was not showing her anger but I can feel that she was half a tantrum that might burst anytime and anywhere. But I and Mickey were not caring about it we were concentrating on how to fight these creatures and went back to the earth. Mickey was full of energy and was every time bumping on one or another ready to bite them. I was having a knife and an electric gun and was killing these alien creature second by second. And now I was taking interest in fighting with these little but intelligent creatures. After an hour or so we had finished fighting the aliens and were ready to face that alien doll. ‘Come up you idiot creature, we are ready to fight with you but before that listen that the earth belongs to humans and no one can ever take control over it. My dad will never in his life help you for completing your mission if for it he has to die also.’ I said dropping two drops of tears. Mickey was in amazement because Priya never ever had cried as she was very bold and not less than boys being a tomboy. ‘If you don’t know that understand it now that aliens are stone hearted and never cares about anyone except ourselves as an individual’ the alien doll said and attacked at them. At first Priya and Mickey were able to manage that fearsome alien doll but later it got difficult for Priya and Mickey to handle the alien doll. Mickey saw that Priya was looking half dead and could not be able to control or defend herself from the attack of alien doll. Mickey jumped on the alien doll and started fighting with her all by itself. Priya wasn’t able to fight with the alien doll in such an exhausted condition so she sat by the side of the wall for a few minutes to take rest. Mickey knowing that his master was not in a condition to fight started again and again attacking the doll with full energy and excitement. After 2-3 minutes when Priya got her senses back and looked Mickey and the alien doll fighting with each other she felt thankful to Mickey because he helped Priya getting her senses back and having a few minutes rest. When Priya saw that Mickey was not be able to fight with the alien doll so she started looking here and there for something she may found. She got a spray and pressed its button. The whole room was filled up with a dirty smell and no one was able to see anyone correctly. Utilizing the time Priya slapped Mickey’s back a little and asked him to follow Priya. Mickey too wagging his tail went after Priya where ever she went. Priya went to the main room in which every thing was kept including switches. Priya started looking for the console panel and when she got it she started looking for the buttons with which she was able to demolish the whole spaceship of the aliens and by that they would live a peaceful life. Mickey was at the entrance door guarding. By the time Priya was checking for the buttons that make the system of the whole ship damage. Suddenly with loud thumps the alien doll started coming in the main room. Priya asked Mickey to fight with the doll alien as she looked for the buttons from which they will be able to destroy the whole spaceship. Mickey readily agreed as his master Priya commanded him. He was not at all feeling tired or exhausted but he was full of energy and ready to face anyone. Priya was very afraid and excited too. Afraid because this would be her last step that could be damage by the ill efforts of the doll alien and excited because if this step of the plan would be completed successful they would be back home and their earth would be saved. As expected the huge and powerful alien doll went in and was stopped by Mickey who barked loudly and started biting her. That alien doll too started screaming but was not ready to leave them. I was not looking up for a minute also, I was just concentrating in how to damage this spaceship by using buttons but unfortunately I couldn’t found any buttons that lead to the distraction of the spaceship. Mickey was helping me very much as he was carrying out the fight with the alien doll so I was not been disturbed by it. I was working very hard for the plan created by me should success so that all humans can live in peace together. Suddenly I found the buttons that said ‘spaceship distraction in 10, 9….’ I bent my head back to look how the fight was going on and found that Mickey was half swallowed by the doll. This scene made my heart full of sorrow and also made me vomit seeing this ugly scene. I was very much sad that I couldn’t help my dog Mickey. Time was less and I have to rush for the earth. I saw a space bike and took it for a ride in the earth…means….to get back to the earth. I quickly started the bike and fled out from the spaceship. I didn’t forget to close the main door so that the alien doll couldn’t come out and be saved. The spaceship blasted and I was filled with full of joy. I was also feeling bad on my dog’s death but actually Mickey proved to be a faithful pet. After that I got famous for saving earth. And at last I would like to say that a doll ate my dog!
