Lost Love and the Fate
‘By Mohammad Bzoor’

It wasn't his desire to leave, but this was because of the war, which forced him to do this. He left Bagdad, although he knows his heart will be hanging there, near that window where he could see her. He left, even though he couldn’t say "bye”. There wasn’t any chance to reach the house to leave a message, as the event was so terrible.

Ten years since he left and couldn't get any news about where she was? All that he knew then, was that she was not in the city. No one knew more, but he didn't lose hope........
Something inside himself tells him about this.
He doesn’t allow thoughts to seep into his mind.
He has put her picture, which he kept with him, on that Tabletop where he put the computer, looks at it between times.

At the late time of that night, he decided to check his email, as he was bored of hearing war news. Although he feels sleepy, something inside himself pushes him to open his email.
A strange email tells him "finally, I found you dear."
He couldn’t see the signature well. He thought that he couldn’t see. He stared a lot... as something unbelievable happened to him.
He doesn’t know what to do. He felt unable to do anything.
His hands start trembling, his lips, and face, everything in his body became unnatural. He stood, turned around as if he was looking for something, and then sat again. Maybe he lost his mind for a while;
'She is her' he said to himself, 'she is her';……… he couldn’t bear to wait until the morning to start searching about her. He immediately sent a message to the same address.

That night he couldn’t sleep. He put his body on the bed, laid on his back, and started gazing at the ceiling as if it’s a screen. Events start appearing as a film in his mind. He remembered the city where they used to spend times, the parties, especially that in which she was wearing that rosy dress …… aaaah…………… she looked like an angel that night. Then suddenly…… he forgot to ask her where she is now?........but, this is not a matter, he said to himself.

The time passed very slowly, and the morning came.
That day he left the internet open. He spent most of his time looking at the email. Many questions came to his mind and he wished he could ask about it…. But, 'next time' he said to himself.

In the evening an email reached to his inbox. It’s from her….
Immediately, he sent a reply asking her about the place where she lives. Amazing news comes when she told him that she lives in the same city where he lives; What…………? Impossible...oh God….

"OK...OK, I have to see you now, you know that restaurant in the middle of the city? Meet me there after an hour."

His heart began beating fast. He didn’t know what to wear, he had nothing good enough for such an occasion.

Asking himself; whether she might be changed, her face, her style, ………but one thing doesn’t change, “love”, this what he said to himself.

He rushed out to the middle of the city where they were supposed to meet. He reached there before the time. He didn’t enter the restaurant. He was waiting for her to come.

Immediately, he knew her when she appeared from the other side of the street. He couldn’t believe his eyes. He started moving toward her waving his hand while she was crossing the road. Suddenly a car appeared very fast and hit her in front of his eyes….

He stood without any movement, hearing someone saying she has died.
He moves forward, then he falls down. The emergency came …....the news spread that he had died. All the people there said, “that person was shocked because of the accident”.

But, no one knew that he came to see his lost beloved.
