Chosen(Jordan Kenney) Chapter 1 : Awakening.

Long before the mortal humans existed the demon Lucifer banished his brother Baluthiar to eternal imprisonment for trying to over power him and take control of the underworld of hell. Now 100,000 years have passed and Lucifer grows weak, now Baluthiar has his chance to become the all powerful ruler of hell. But all is not that simple...

The sound of the school bell sounded and echoed in the calm winds of the sky and out of Spellview high school came the running hordes of children. After everyone had left there was a short pause before three unusual individuals slowly walked out of the main door. The three individuals were formed in a horizontal line. The one of the left was slim and average height, his hair was dark and long and his eyes were of an ocean blue, this was Benjamin an agile teenage boy who succeded in every sport he paricipated in, a smirk was carved on his face as he was an arrogant and self centered boy. The middle of the three was the biggest of the line, his hair was, short spiked back and dark colored, his eyes had the look of anger and frustration this was Micheal a boy who was the strongest in the school and was always found in the gym building up his already huge body mass. On the right was a small figure with medium length hair and glasses covering his eyes, with a look of worry and despair on his face this was Damien a shy and small little boy he was the same age as Benjamin and Micheal but did not look it due his small size. Damien was very intelligant and was always an A grade achiever in class.
The three walked outside the school and one of them began to talk. " I am sure i am the best at everything in this hell bent prison of a school " said Benjamin with a cocky tone in his voice. Then another voice sounded " i am sick of you thinking your better than everyone else Benjamin maybe you should come into the gym with me so i can pull your head from your ass " shouted Micheal in a deep dark voice his tone sounded more like a roaring lion than a 16 year old teenager. Then Benjamin started to laugh and stood infront of Micheals colossus like physique and said sarcasticly " oh WOW thats a new one big fella' " and continued to walk infront of Micheal looking back with that smirk of cockiness. Then a great sigh was heard from the big brute Micheal. He shook his head and bent down and took off his bag and pulled out an energy drink. Benjamin turned round and walked over to Micheal with a concerned look on his face which erased that cocky smirk, " you know your drinking way too many of them, it is probably why your so angry and screwed up all the time. " said Benjamin with a changed tone now sounding worried. Benjamin reached for the drink to try and take it from Micheal. " GET OFF " screamed Micheal and he pushed Benjamin away. Benjamin hit the floor with a thud and instantly flipped himslef up and dusted himself off. " what the hell is wrong with you asshole " roared Benjamin. Hardly noticed Damien said quietly in a polite and calm voice " we should be getting home now ". Micheal and Benjamin looked at Damien and both said calmly " ok ".

The three formed a line again and walked down the road. Benjamin pulled out of his pocket an ipod and some headphones and put them in his ears which were hiding behind his hair. " i am going to run the rest of the way see you two fags later " said Benjamin quickley. He started to sprint down the street with great speed. Damien and Micheal continued walking slowly down the road without saying a word to one another. The two approached a house which was the last on the street. Micheal sighed deeply and opened the door and entered the house with Damien closely behind. Micheal threw down his bag and ran upstairs. A slam was heard from upstairs. Damien walked into the front room were Benjamin was lied on the sofa watching a program about his faviourite music band ' the dark ones '.

The three boys were brothers although nobody would think that because of the different personalities of the three. Damien went into the kitchen and sat at the dinner table reading a book about angels and demons. Some time passed and Benjamin walked in the kitchen and walked over to Damien. " what you reading there brain box ? " said Benjamin with a slightly interested look in his eyes. Then the calm voice of quiet little Damien replied " just a book about Lucifer the devil " and he continued reading. Benjamin laughed and said " that obsession with yours is getting a little freaky ". The front door was heard opening and in came a woman who looked middle aged and was carrying shopping bags. This was the boys mother. She walked into the kitchen and said to Damien and Benjamin " it is 10 years today "she was looking at a photo of a man in an army uniform. This was the boys father who died in the Iraq war 10 years ago. Both Damien and Benjamin exited the kitchen and proceeded upstairs to there bedrooms.

" WHERE IS HE ! " Screamed the most darkest evil voice any man could hear. Another dark evil voice was heard " he escaped my lord he has fled to the mortal realm to find the chosen trio ". Flames surrounded the two voices and a massive roar was heard " GO TO THE MORTAL REALM NOW AND CLAIM MY BASTARD BROTHER ... YOU MUST NOT LET HIM FIND THE TRIO " This dark voice was Lucifer the dark ruler of hell. The other voice replied " don't you worry my lord we will have your brother back soon enough " then a deafening cackle sounded as the voice left the presence of Lucifer and made upwards towards the hell gate.

Footsteps echoed down an alleyway growing louder and louder. A shadowey figure ran through the alley. The figure had a long black trench coat with a hood. The shadow had a hunch and struggled to run very fast. Inhumane grunts could be heared coming from this shadow. It left the alley and ran down the road towards a house. This shadow was no human. It climed up the side of the wall of the house towards a window. The shadowy figure gazed through the window were it could see a boy sat in a corner reading a book. The little boy was none other than Damien.

The shadow stood watching outside the window as Damien stood up and exited the room not paying attention to the strange dark figure outside his bedroom window. Damien returned to his room only to find the dark figure stood in the back corner of the room staring right at him. Damien gasped and fell down to the floor and backed up against the wall almost having a heart attack. The shadow slowly made its way towards Damien and started to speak. The figure sounded old and in pain also it was taking a deep breath after every word like it was stuggling to speak at all. " Are you the one they call ... Damien " the creature said and it tilted its head to one side then a blooded smile was revealed showing sharp black teeth formed in a striking grin. Damien found the courage to reply to this demonic being. " y... yes ... sir ". The shadow raised its arms and removed its hood revealing a human like face with eyes as red at flames and skin as white as ash and snow. " I am Baluthiar brother of Lucifer and also his enemy ". Baluthiar said sharply. Damien slowly stood up still backed up against the wall and grew with confidence and said politely " i know all about you and your brother sir. You have been brought to earth to find the trio is that true ? ". Baluthiar walked close to Damien and sniffed him like a dog would sniff for food. " yes that is correct the trio are but of three brothers with different personalities and i have come here because i believe you and your brothers are the key to defeating Lucifer and his minions " Said Baluthiar with great desire in his words.

Damien shouted with suprise " WHAT ! ". Then baluthiar looked into Damiens eyes and replied " i see great courage and power in you my friend you are one the trio indeed ". The door busted open and in came Micheal and he shouted " Damien what the hell ...OH MY GOD WHAT IS THAT ". Micheal stood there frozen with a tear shedding from his eye. Damien calmly said to Micheal " this is Baluthiar and he is a demon ". Micheal was still shocked and remained silent trying to speak but failing. Micheal took a small step forward and started to shake with fear. Finally in came the third brother Benjamin " hey fags whats with all the noise in here there some kind of orgy or something " said Benjamin rubbing his eyes. Baluthiar looked over at Benjamin and smiled before saying " ah hello Benjamin ". Benjamin opened his eyes fully and gasped " WHO THE HELL ARE YOU ". Benjamin looked over at Micheal who was still stood with fear staring at the mysterious demon. " Damien walked over to Benjamin placing his hand on Benjamins shoulder " this is a demon Benjamin he has come to tell us something ". Benjamin calmed down a little and sat Micheal on the bed. The three brothers sat in a line on the bed. Baluthiar walked to the corner so all three boys could see him clearly and he began to talk " I have escaped from my brothers grasp in hell and i have come to find you three young boys becuase you must aid me in defeating my brother and restoring peace to the realm of hell. You must defeat Lucifers demons and Lucifer himself if you are to achieve your destiny ". Benjamin interupted quickley " why should we help you ? ". Baluthiar growled and looked at Benjamin coldly " you three are the chosen trio who were born to take up these roles and defeat the demons that possess the world ". Benjamin grew quiet and continued to listen. Then without warning Baluthiar growled and looked back. He closed his eyes and inhaled a scent deeply. His eyes opened and Baluthiar turned to the three confused boys and bleeted " Their here ".

Suddenly a great crash was heard from one of the other rooms. All three boys ran into the room where the crash was heard and saw nothing but a body lied in a pool of blood. " OH CHRIST " shouted Benjamin before running over to the corpse. He slowly turned it over revealing a pale female face. " Its ...m...mum ". Micheal ran over throwing Benjamin out of the way " OH MY GOD ". Baluthiar came in last " i am heartly sorry my friends " said Baluthiar sympatheticly. Micheal looked at Baluthiar with a great rage " YOU ... ITS ALL YOUR FAULT YOU ... YOU BASTARD ". Baluthiar replied calmly " this is a message from Lucifer to show if you three are the chosen trio ". All three boys looked at Baluthiar and Damien said " Can you help her ? ". " yes ... if the three of you clear hell from all the darkness that possess it. Only then can your mother be saved and brought back to the world of the living " replied Baluthiar. " then it is done we will help our mother " said Damien with ambition in his eyes. The room grew quiet as the boys calmed down and became more reasonble. Both Benjamin and Micheal glanced at Damien coldly and Benjamin turned towards Baluthiar and looked oddly at him " surely we can't kill these things without your help mate ? ". Baluthiar smiled and said " no but i can give you the powers it takes to defeat these creatures of hell ".

Baluthiar raised his hand and pointed towards Micheal before casting a light into his eyes. " To you Micheal i give to you ... the strength of a thousand warriors and the sword of damnation ". said Baluthiar with both his eyes lit up a bright yellow. Then without warning a large sword appeared in Micheals hand " WOW i feel stronger like i can break anything " Shouted Micheal happily. Micheal began swinging his sword and possessed the skills of a warrior. " This is pretty cool bring those demons to me and i will smash them " said Micheal. Baluthiar looked over to Benjamin and cast a second light towards Benjamins eyes. " To you Benjamin i give the speed and agility of a thousand elite soldiers and the hell pistols of insanity. These were forged by the angel Gabriel and possess the power to kill demons with a few shots just like a gun would do to a human " said Baluthiar with a half smile. Then in Benjamins hands two very stylish guns appeared " wow oh my god i feel faster and lighter ". Benjamin performed a back flip and ran up the nearest wall " hell yeah these demons bitches aint' got nothing on us " shouted Benjamin with delight showing that cocky grin once more. Micheal and Benjamin smiled at each other and looked over at Damien awaiting his transformation. Baluthiar glanced at Damien and cast a light into his eyes " to you Damien i give you ultimate dark magic and the power of the elements with this you shall possess the book of dark souls ". Baluthiar sat down like he had been drained of all his power. Damien looked into his hands to find an old book full of mystical and dark spells. " now what do we do Baluthiar ? " said Damien looking at the book. Baluthiar growled and looked at the three boys and began to talk " now you must find the first demons to kill and gain their souls if you are to attract Lucifers attention " said Baluthiar with a formal tone. " And just how do we do that ? " said Benjamin with an eager voice. Baluthiar replied quickly " the ones that killed your mother must not be far away i will use my senses to guide you to them although i cannot fight so you must do this for me " said Baluthiar with dread in his voice. " well then lets get to it if we are the so called chosen ones " said Micheal gripping his sword tightly with revenge set into his eyes. The three boys exited the house and followed a stream of purple light which must be the path set by Baluthiar. The three boys began walking down the path following the stream of light. Baluthiar was seen a fair distance behind the boys slowly following them. The boys walked for hours until they reached the heart of the city. The stream followed into an alley where the path started to fade.


Chapter 2 : First encounters

The boys followed the faded path into the alley. " This place stinks " said Micheal holding his nose. Benjamin entered the alley " WOW smells worse than your sweat Mikey' " said Benjamin also holding his nose whilst laughing. Baluthiar growled and snapped at Benjamin " CONCENTRATE they are here ,just up ahead ". Micheal drew his sword and began to move slowly forward. Benjamin followed with his hands on his guns. Damien stayed close to Benjamin reading his book saying words to summon spells. Micheal peeked round a corner and saw three figures lurched over what seemed to be a blooded corpse. " Poor guy " Micheal whispered. The figures looked the same. Black shadowed skin with long arms. Long claws stood at the hands of the creatures. there faces were long and with teeth like butchers knives. Their eyes were bright yellow. One of them turned around so Micheal quickly moved away from the corner. Micheal turned to Baluthiar and whispered " what the hell are those things ? ". Baluthiar replied " they are demons Micheal you must slay them now ". Micheal sighed deeply and said " We don't know how to fight these things " Benjamin interupted " yeah how do we kill these things ? ". Baluthiar looked at the boys one at a time and said " use my voice it will guide the three of you and give the information you will need to kill these creatures ". Damien took off his glasses and looked at his brothers before saying " listen my brothers these things killed our mother i don't care if we are the chosen trio or not but what i do know is these things must pay for what they have done now we will show them we can fight back, are you with me ? ". Micheal looked at his brother shocked and said " yeah lets get them ". Benjamin also looked at little Damien and said " your crazy mate. But someones got to watch your ass ". Micheal looked round the corner to see if they were still there.

A hole started to open and red flames came out the top. But just before they could get in one of the demons turned around and spotted Micheal. " Oh crap " shouted Micheal before backing off. A very loud high pitch scream was heard and One of them rushed round the corner staring Micheal dead in the face. Baluthiar backed up slowly and closed his eyes. " Micheal my voice is in your mind now you must listen very carefully lift your sword to eye level " explained Baluthiars voice. Micheal did as Baluthiar commanded and raised his sword " NOW WHAT " he shouted " swing to the left of you and again to the right in exactly three seconds " Baluthiars voice said. Micheal counted to three and swung his sword to the left and then to the right instantly slicing the demon in half. Its body twithced on the floor while its purple blood burned through its soft skin turning the demon to ashes. Black and blue smoke came from the ashes and went into Micheals body. Micheal screamed in pain " WHAT IS THIS ? " Baluthiars vocie replied calmly " you have absorbed its soul, now you are stronger ". Micheal got up and walked back. Then without warning two more demons sprinted round the corner. One was staring at Benjamin and the other was grinning at little Damien. Benjamin screamed " WHAT THE HELL DO I DO !? " Baluthiars voice entered Benjamins head " Benjamin do not panic i will guide you ". The demon starting walking towards Benjamin with its claws ready to kill. " Benjamin pull out your guns, aim one at its head and the other at its beating heart " explained Baluthiars voice. Benjamin obeyed placing his guns in the correct aiming allignment. The demon screeched and charged towards Benjamin. The guns fired repeatdly blasting the demon apart. The demon fell to the ground and turned to ash. Its soul was absorbed by Benjamin. Benjamin screamed and fell to the floor. The third demon ran towards Damien. Damien raised his book and listened to Baluthiars voice " Damien repeat my words ' ach von trie ' do it Damien do it now. Damien shouted the words and out of the book and into his hand came blue flames. Damien threw is flames towards the charging demon. The demon caught fire and screamed in agony. Its black skin slowly started to melt. The soul got into Damien but he did not scream in pain like his brothers he seemed to be more calm. Micheal helped Benjamin up. Baluthiar opened his eyes. " You fought well my friends, next time my voice will not guide you so you must learn to fight for yourselves. Remember protect each other as you are the key to earths survival " explained Baluthiar.
" THEY SHOULD BE BACK BY NOW ! " screamed the dark voice of Lucifer. Then a little demon replied " my lord i have grim news, the trio has been chosen they have killed our scouts ". Lucifer roared at the top of his voice which shook the walls of hell " WHAT HOW CAN THIS BE ? ". The little demon replied " it is how we feared my lord, we must send more to kill them before they ruin our plans ". Lucifers voice grew calmer " YES SEND SOME TO KILL THESE PUNY MORTALS ". Lucifer opened a big door which revealed a woman in armour. " You wanted me my lord ? " she said darkly. " LILITH YOU MUST SEND YOUR SQUAD TO KILL THESE HUMANS DO IT NOW, DO NOT FAIL ME ". Lilith nodded her head and replied " yes my lord these puny mortals will not see the light of tomorrow ". She gathered some armoured demons and sent them to the hell gate.

The boys walked down the city streets. " You can never return home my friends we must keep moving " said Baluthiar. The boys and Baluthiar came to an inn. Baluthiar said to the boys " there is somone here you need to meet " said Baluthiar. They approached a room and entered. Baluthiar looked around the room and entered first with the brothers closely behind. The boys approached a room and entered closely behind Baluthiar. As they entered the room a man like figure stood in the corner looking at them. His hair was white and his eyes were light blue and bright in which they illuminated the room, his face was covered in deep scars indicating he was a warrior of some sort. He walked towards the boys and began to speak " you have come at last Baluthiar and with the trio it seems " he said sharply and smiled at Damien. Baluthiar closed the door behind everyone and directed the boys to a bed in which they all sat in a line. The man spoke again " i am Gabriel of the white lands and i have come to aid you three and Baluthiar in this dark hour to defeat Lucifer " he said looking at the boys. Gabriel cast a bright light infront of the boys which some an image of some sort with similar looking people in armour and with great white wings. " These are the angels of the legion they will aid us in the battle against Lucifers army " Gabriel said distinctivly. Benjamin quickly interupted " hang on Baluthiar never mentioned anything about a battle and ... and an army ! ". Baluthiar looked at Benjamin coldly and replied " He is bringing an army against us and we need these angels to aid us and defeat him for good ". Benjamin was silenced and began to listen to Gabriel. " You must come to my home land away from this realm it is too dangerous. Then we will gather our army and begin our assualt on Hell " said Gabriel. Before the brothers could reply they were blinded by a white light before drifting into a deep sleep. Baluthiar looked at Gabriel and said " i thatnk you for aiding me against my brother friend " Gabriel replied " our loyality will only guide you so far we can only help you defeat his army and not Lucifer himself " and within seconds the room was empty.

A bright white light slowly faded in to the eyesight of the brothers who were standing in a forest surrounded by mystical white light. " Welcome to your home my young friends " said Gariel with a smile on his face like he was proud to see his home. " Woah' look at this place " said Micheal with his eyes wide open looking round slowly. The boys stood frozen looking at the mystical place surrounding them. Gabriel guided the boys to an army of armoured men with great white wings on the backs of these warriors. " Who are they Gabriel ? " said Damien quietly " this is the legion the greatest army of angels ever created ". " The demons are going down " said Benjamin with great haste. Then when Benjamin looked round slowly, he went silent as he saw a woman as beautiful as a sunset over a glistening ocean. Benjamin turned to Gabriel and pointed the beautiful woman out to him " who ... who is that ? " he said nervously and Gabriel smiled and replied " that is Bailey my beautiful daughter " Benjamin looked down blushing still looking at the angel before him. Benjamin took a deep breath before saying to Gabriel " she is perfect " Gabriel's face grew cold and in an instant he turned and put his blade to Benjamins throat and screamed " IF YOU DARE TOUCH HER I WILL SLAY YOU WHERE YOU STAND ". Benjamin went pale, as white as a ghost and backed off slowly. A man pushed passed Benjamin more armoured than Gabriel and the legion. He walked to the front of the line and his image was fully visable. This man was covered head to toe in armour even his face was of a metal mask. " I am Drako the captain of the legion and i will serve you until the very end my young friends " he said proudly before bowing infront of the three brothers. " The legion followed Drako and bowed. Drako stood up and turned towards the bowing legion and shouted " WHAT ARE WE ? " The legion put there hands to there chests and roare " WE ARE LEGION, WE ARE MANY, BUT WE FGHT AS ONE " and they all stood. Drako turned to the boys and said " we are your swords until the end " he ordered the legion to follow him away from the boys and they all walked away. Gabriel guided the boys to a temple and into a room with nothing but a fountain of water. Gabriel stood at the pool with the boys closely behind. " This will be your world if you do not prevail " Gabriel said seriously. Gabriel dipped is hand in the water and revealed a picture of a city surrounded in dark flames wit creatures running around every corner. A giant red figure was seen through the smoke and flames. This creature was huge and red skinned with great yellow horns and glowing eyes. It held in its hands the heads of Micheal and Benjamin. Micheal looked away from the pool and was sick " oh christ " he said breathing heavily. Benjamin put his hand on Micheals shoulder and helped him up. Damien panicked and screamed " Where am i Gabriel Why am i not there ? ". Gabriel shook his head and turned to Damien " i do not know that is why you must win " Gabriel said.
