Mansion Mystery

By Tommy Sekerak
Born 2001, M, from VIRGINIA BEACH, United States
View Author Profile

I was scared but determined when I heard that my family was held hostage by the police guards who boss us around all the time in my village. I figured out where they were held and had an idea. I am going to ask my best friends Joey Thomas Manco and Ryan Claire Murphy to help me get my family back. Joey's weapon was going to be poisonous darts. Ryan's weapon was going to be a sword. Mine was going to be a bow and arrow.

I forgot, my name is Thomas Robert Sekerak. "My family is trapped in Los Angeles, California, in a mansion", I told my friends. We suited up and started to travel from Virginia Beach. We're only ten and eleven so we had to travel by bike. I was sweating so hard that I almost had no fluid left. 1465 HOLLYWOOD DRIVE is what the address said on the gigantic mansion. My heart was beating fast when I walked in, so much so I think my friends could hear the sound of it. There were two white men in suits with guns who were guarding the door before Joey took them out with his darts. While we ran away from the dead men, suddenly they transformed back into humans but bigger. Each time we hit them they would grow bigger and bigger until they were the size of full grown evergreen trees. We get about to the fifth storey until we see the head peacekeeper and he handcuffs us and locks us down in different rooms. I can hear my friends screaming and I know something bad is happening to them. Then when they stop screaming it is my turn to be beaten. I am whipped forty times by the peacekeepers when Ryan breaks in and throws a sword at them and kills them. I think in my mind, where were you when the other peacekeepers grew bigger and bigger. There was something weird about every other peacekeeper we fought. None of them grew bigger and bigger except for the first peacekeepers we fought.

When we reach my family it is hard for everyone to break free except for my sister Carlie Joy Sekerak. This was so easy for Carlie to get free because her weapon is strength. She had to help the rest of my family to get out of the metal bars. My brother Timothy Don Sekerak was the second one to break free. Timmy's weapon was throwing knives because he had really good coordination. My mom and dad waited to get free until we finished fighting the peacekeepers off because they had no weapons. when we went out in the hallway there was a crowd filled with peacekeepers. I made a huddle with my team and made a plan with them. We said break, and started shooting at the peacekeepers randomly and killing any of them in sight. We did this until Timmy threw one of his knives and it accidentally hit Ryan. I ran over to her, ramming all the peacekeepers, not even caring if they shot me. I came to her and saw her bleeding and crying. I gave her this medicine called lucite which helps numb the pain in her stomach. When she fell asleep I was so mad I pinned Timmy to the wall and I left him there forever. When we went I killed every peacekeeper in the way. I still had Joey, Ryan, Carlie, and me. We had 4 police guards left to kill. Before I even got to finish the sentence Carlie already knocked all of them out, and I shot them in the heart with my bow and arrow and killed them. We each fist bumped each other and walked towards the exit. Suddenly, a bomb appeared out of the wall and was counting down from one minute. We were running to the exit, and I realized that I forgot my mom and dad. I ran back to the fifth floor were they were locked and broke them out of the cages. Once I got them out we had twenty five seconds left until we were all blasted to bits. I didn't want to leave Timmy to be blasted to bits, but I had to let him go. My mom and dad told me I didn't have enough time to get Timmy but I wouldn't listen. I saw him trying to let himself go until I unpinned him from the wall and told him to start running to the exit. We had ten seconds left when I got close to the exit. I told them to run out of the mansion, but they were already outside. I ran outside of the mansion and then... BOOM!

I had a head count and saw that everybody made it out safely so I was really happy that I got them back home. I thanked Joey and Ryan for helping me getting my family and they said, "no problem". My family and friends and I lived happy for the rest of our lives and earned medals for our bravery.
