Go Through My Heart

Have you ever wondered how it feels to fall in love? Well falling in love is where the girl goes to sleep in your arms and wakes up in your dreams. You see, love is like a rose, it grows at first but without care it slowly disintegrates. My name is Brandon and I know lots about falling in love because I’ve been in love before. I once loved a girl so much I would’ve done anything for her happiness and protection.

I remember her and I walking to my house from school one day. As usual we walked through an alley as I cracked jokes and held her hand. Just seeing her beautiful smile made everything worthwhile. We then continued walking down a narrow alley full of cracks scattered across the concrete floor. The clouds eclipsed the sun as a light breeze gently ran through her hair. Afterwards, I slowly looked at her and said, “even though the clouds are covering the sun out here, my sun will always be so bright as long as you’re beside me.” She then smiled and her lips gently locked onto mine.

In addition, we kept walking through the alley where I noticed some apartments. As we passed by these apartments, I noticed a shirtless man covered in tattoos and he had short hair with tattooed tears on his cheeks. He mad dogged us as we passed by. After starring at me he then stared at my girlfriend. I then saw him smiling at her as he nodded his head. The man said to me, “who’s the girl?” I told my girlfriend to ignore it and keep walking but the man yelled again, “I said who the f**k is the girl?” I again ignored him, even though he looked pissed. I clearly knew that he wanted to rape her so I tried my best to try to protect her. Therefore, I stood in front of her and yelled, “Leave the girl alone!” My life flashed between my eyes as this man pulled out his gun and threatened me, “Move, it’s the girl I want and it’s the girl I plan to get. Move your ass before I blast you!” Shaken in fear but strong on my feet I replied, “Go ahead, shoot me, you cannot have her!” He then hesitated as I still opened my big mouth again, “I thought you were tough. Are you a coward?” My girlfriend whispered to me, “Leave him alone, let’s go.”

We then commenced walking again but then... Boom! Boom! Boom! Before you know it I was on the floor lying in my own pool of blood. The man had just shot me multiple times in my back. I panicked and then took deep breathes as blood erupted out of my mouth. I noticed my girlfriend leaning over me screaming. She laid my head in her hands as she said, “Babe, please don’t die on me, you’re all that I’ve got, you’re all that I’ll ever need." Tears built up in my eyes as my suffering slowly ended. “I love you”, she said to me as I let go of her hands and faded into eternity.
