Waiting

Craig paced up and down the corridor, his hands tucked deep into his pockets, his face lined with worry wondering what was going on and how long it was going to take. Suddenly he heard a scream in the room. "What's that?" Said Craig. "It's nothing," said the nurse as she quietly walked past. While he waited he thought he would read the health leaflet all about maintaining a healthy body and as he was about to turn around the door opened adn the nurse came out with a big smile and said, "It's a girl!" Craig didn't know what to say, his heart filled with happiness butterflies in his stomach as he walked into that room and held his baby for the first time.
