Behind True Eyes

Can you tell everything about someone just because of their outer shell? Do you know how they feel when they talk to you? Do they really tell you everything that happens to them? If they don’t then listen to what happened to a girl who faked her life.
Tiffany was your average 16 year old girl who has many friends. She does sports and is very hardworking. Even though she managed to earn a good reputation, her true side is eating her up inside. Tiffany is suffering from something many girls suffer from, anorexia.
Tiffany has been anorexic since she was 15 years old. The smell food brought her back to the time when people made fun of her because she wasn’t as skinny as everyone else. Tiffany stopped eating and had to cry herself to sleep because she was in so much pain. Her parents never noticed because she always took her food to her room. In reality, Tiffany has been storing the food in her closet and has been counting the number of pounds she could have gained.
After 1 year Tiffany had grown weaker. She had to quit sports because she was so tired and in so much pain. Knowing this, Tiffany tried to eat but couldn’t, she was too scared that she would gain weight. One day, when she was home alone she decided to end her life. She walked to a drug store and purchased sleeping pills.
When she came back to the house she was walking to her room when she noticed family pictures and started to tear up. When she reached her room she looked around and saw all pictures of when she was with her parents having a happy time. When one picture caught her eye, when she was fat but she was smiling. She remembered those times, she was happier then than now.
She grabbed the photo and cried silently, ad she remembered those times when she was truly happy and not acting, the times she never had to try hard just to be happy. She looked at the sleeping pills and went to the bridge a block away. She climbed up and stared down at the rushing water that had sharp rocks at the bottom. She took a breath but was pulled down by someone.
She looked up and saw the girl that use to bully her because she was fat. The bully yelled,” ARE YOU CRAZY?” Tiffany looked up at the bully and coldly asked,” Why would you care?” The bully answered,” Because you have people who care about you.” Tiffany then realized why the bully picked on her,’ she never had anyone who cared about her while I did’, Tiffany suddenly hugged her and they both started crying and apologizing over and over.
They released their hug and both stepped back a bit. The bully extended her hand and asked,” Lets start over, hi I’m Sarah and you?” Tiffany smiled and said,” I’m Tiffany nice to meet you, I hope we can be great friends later on.” They both laughed and started walking toward Tiffany’s house. From then on they did everything together and help each other when they couldn’t talk to anyone else.
1 year later

Tiffany and Sarah are still best friends. Every day Sarah helped Tiffany eat by eating one more meal each day. Tiffany never thought that she would be best friends with the person who bullied her. Tiffany and Sarah have been talking about making a campaign for people who also suffer from anorexia. They have made a website where over 80,000 members have joined to help build a building for anorexics to live and improve in eating. Now this building has over 30 members and many more wanting to join.
Tiffany has learned to never give up, she wondered what would have happened if Sarah hadn’t helped her. Tiffany laughed because she wasn’t going to jump but just watch the bottle of pills fall into the water. Either way, she was grateful that Sarah actually helped her instead of just walking away. Tiffany learned that even though Sarah appeared to be mean, she just needed someone to care for her. Tiffany was glad that she wasn’t alone in the world and was determined to help those that felt like they were.
