The Golden Cross

By TJE
Born 1976, F, from Brentwood, United Kingdom
View Author Profile

There once was a girl named Blossom, she lived with her mother and father and two twin brothers… called Alex and Matthew. She was a very spoiled girl who didn't belive in Jesus...

One day Blossom went out digging for treasure, she dug for ages and ages, but then, finally, she saw a bright light shining in her face. She dug harder and faster until she could find out what it was. She had found it! She lifted it up carefully so that it wouldn’t break. She examined this piece of treasure and discovered that it was a cross. Not any ordinary cross, but a GOLDEN cross!

She ran upstairs and took it to her room. Then she saw a green button on the left side of the cross, it was glowing, so she pressed it. Before she knew it she was in a strange place where Jesus was carrying his cross. She shouted “hello, are you Jesus? The King of Kings and God’s son?” but there was no reply because nobody could see her or hear her and she could not touch anything but the ground and the Golden Cross.

Blossom saw Jesus suffering and she desperately wanted to assist him, but she knew she was helpless. For she could not change what had already happened in the past. She saw everyone saying that Barabbas should be let go and how they decided that Jesus would be crucified. It was a living nightmare! She did a quick prayer saying,

“Oh Dear God, please tell me why I am the child of all child’s in the world to see this? why didn’t everyone see how special Jesus was? Why did he have to die when he was perfect? Why didn’t everyone believe him when he said that he was God’s son after all the miracle’s he had done, and when he rose on the 3rd day why didn’t he show himself to everybody to show that he was Your Son? Oh Lord hear my prayer, Amen.”

And finally with the both of her ears she heard a shout from Jesus saying “It Is FINISHED!”

Now on the right side of the cross she saw a blue button that was glowing so she pressed it and she was taken back home into her room and strangely the Cross had turned into a necklace so she put it on. Then she heard her mother calling her saying “Blossom dinners ready!” and the twins were smirking and saying “hurry up or we’ll eat your dinner!”

*****

Blossom was now age 14. she could now walk to places by herself and she could visit her friends and granny anytime, but not past 11pm!

It was a fun day so she decided to go to the library; she loved reading so she was looking for the best book ever. As she looked around she saw a book with bold writing saying,

“ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE GOLDEN CROSS”

She had to pick it up so she did, and she opened a random page and it said
‘the golden cross has been a very special treasure that was lost by a very wealthy man. It was broken into three pieces. Whoever may find the 3 pieces will be rich beyond dreams.’

Blossom dropped the book and ran out of the library. She ran to her grannies house because she had the exact same necklace as blossom had. She knocked on the door rapidly and said “granny, open the door, it’s Blossom.”

She replied, “which blossom?”

Blossom said, “your Granddaughter, don’t you recognise my voice?”

Finally Granny noticed and opened the door.

Blossom said to her, “oh I love your necklace, where did you get it from?” Granny said that she found it in her neighbours bin. Blossom asked her why on earth she was looking in their bin!? She said she was looking for her bracelet.

Blossom asked her if she could have her necklace, and Granny asked, “why do YOU need it, if you have got your own!?”

Blossom said, "I have been sent to get it and I will pay you back." So Granny gave the necklace to Blossom but was told not to damage it. So Blossom left, and when she was outside she connected the two necklaces together. Then there was a bright shine when the two necklaces became one and they pulled her along to where the 3rd necklace was. Before she knew it she was in the woods and there it was, the third necklace lying there on the crocodile. She had to get it. It was the only way to see what would happen, so she stretched over and got it, but woke up the chief crocodile and the chief nearly bit her finger off. Thank God she survived. So she ran out and connected the 3rd necklace together and the light was like no other light,
