The Swan shall Prophesy(Mongiwekhaya) Come, and know the swan shall prophesy
It is compelled to joy and death compels
In a lusty voice, its life song swells
The last hazzah of this setting body

No pain dares crease his wizened brow
His lover spreading wings; her aria foretells
His travel to stations unparallel
No love lost in the end of what they know

She cries for joy at his passing
His eyes that watched her through an age
Turn their sights to the horizon

The dusk falls and he takes flight on wing
Behind a wilting figure slowly fades
The essence returns to the eternal hidden

Consider this, and know
If life is to be a joy, why death a sorrow?
The swan will sing for today and the morrow.
