The Cult
Born 1983, M, from Atlanta,Texas, United StatesFrom a distance a young girl named Aykea watched Sally defeat Crow in a Shadow Game. “Amazing, maybe these five can help me” said Aykea to herself. She was a mission to find her missing friend Modo. She followed Nathan, Sally, Walter, Taylor, and Miles as they traveled to the Allgood Public Library. While following them she bumped into Galls. “We meet again Akeya,” said Galls. “Leave me alone creep,” said Aykea. “Whats the matter are you scared of me because Modo is not around to help you,” said Galls. “I said leave me alone!” shouted Aykea. “I am going to take you to my leader,” said Galls grabbing Aykea by the arm. She screamed out for help.
Nathan, Sally, Walter, Taylor, and Miles heard Aykea crying out for help. “Sounds like someone is in trouble,” said Nathan. “It sure does and it sounds like it is coming from that way,” said Taylor pointing her finger towards the direction she heard the noise. The five young heroes summoned their super powers and went in the direction they heard Aykea’s cries for help. They encountered Galls who had Aykea by the arm and forcing her to go with him against her will. “Leave her alone!” shouted Sally. “What is this?” asked Galls as he saw Nathan with a power ring, Taylor with a sword, Walter with a hatchet, Miles with a bow and arrow, and Sally with a deck cards. They did not respond to Galls’ question. “Back off, she is my hostage,” said Galls. “Not for long. I summon Body Snatcher,”said Sally. A fence and a gate appeared in front of the five young heroes. The gate opened and a pair of hands reached out grabbed Aykea and pulled her to safety. Sally snapped her fingers and the fence and gate changed back to a card. Taylor put her arm around Aykea and comforted her. “Ok boys, finish him off,” said Sally. Nathan, Walter, and Miles stepped forward. “You may have won this time but I will be back,” said Galls walking off.
“Who the heck was that?” asked Taylor. “His name is Galls he is a member of this cult that slits their wrist , collects the blood from different members and then drinks it,” said Aykea. “Gross,” said Miles. “What does he want with you?” asked Nathan. “He wants my blood, they believe that if they drink the blood of a female it will give them magical powers,” said Aykea. “That is disgusting,” said Sally who was beginning to get nauseous from the conversation.
“My Manners! I am sorry my name is Aykea,” said Aykea introducing herself. She thanked the five young heroes for saving her and explained she was looking for her friend Modo and must continue her quest to find him. She started walking off. “We do not need to let her go off by herself with some blood drinking maniac trying to abduct her,” said Taylor. “Taylor is right. Let’s help Aykea find her friend and then will continue on our quest to try and figure out what caused the disruption in the timeline on this planet, “ said Sally. “Agreed. Aykea wait,” said Nathan. Aykea turned around. “We will help you find your friend,” said Nathan.
As they were walking towards the Allgood Public Library. Aykea told the others that her friend Modo was competing in the Dynamo City Shadow Game Tournament, all of sudden there was this bright light that blinded everyone and Modo was gone. “Has Modo battled Galls or anyone else in the cult?” asked Sally suspecting a connection between the cult and Modo’s disappearance. “Yes, he has taken on Galls and the cult leader several times,” said Aykea.
“Do you know if these weirdos has a hideout?” asked Nathan. “Yes, at an abandon church on Blackberry Street. Since they were trying to kidnap me they are fixing to have one of their ceremonies,” said Aykea. “Modo, may be held prisoner there or they may have brain washed him and turned him into one of their members,” said Nathan. “Right, we need to crash their little ceremony,” said Sally, drawing a teleporter card from her deck and handing it to Taylor. “Taylor, I want you, Walter, and Miles to go on to the library and see if you can find anything on what could have caused the disruption in the timeline, when you are finished researching teleport home. Me and Nathan is going crash a party,” said Sally.
Nathan, Sally, and Aykea walked to the abandon church on Blackberry Street. Modo’s other friends Joe and Christian were looking inside the abandon church through a window. “Any sign of Modo?” asked Aykea as they walked up to Joe and Christian. “The only thing we have seen is the cult leader and his followers,” said Christian. “I bet they have him locked up in a room where there are no windows or they have transformed him into one of their members. Either way I am going in!” said Joe walking towards the front door of the church. “Christian, how many cult members have you seen?” asked Aykea. “About fifteen,” said Christian. “Do you think Joe can handle that many by himself?” asked Aykea. Sally shook her head no. “Not a chance,” said Nathan. “Let’s go bail him out of trouble,” said Sally.
Joe kicked the door open. “All right you sick freaks what did you do to Modo?” asked Joe. “What is the meaning of this?” asked the cult leader. “I am here for Modo and I am not leaving until you release him,” said Joe. “That is Joe Wheeler one of Modo’s friends,” said Galls. “I don’t care who he is, get rid of him!” demanded the cult leader. Galls and the other members of the cult started towards Joe who was starting to back up. Sally, Nathan, and Aykea entered the church and Joe got beside them. “Bring me the two females and do whatever you want to the others,” said the cult leader. “I summon magic fence,” said Sally. A fence appeared in front of the four young heroes. “Now I summon Magic Parrot, Magic Mirror, and the Spell Card Confusion. A parrot, mirror, and a card with a question mark on it appeared in front of Sally. “These three won’t be separate long. I will start by sacrificing all three,” said Sally. The parrot, the mirror, and the card disappeared. Sally pulled out another card from her deck. “Now I play the Spell Card Sacrifice Resurrection which not only brings back the three monsters I sacrificed but they can also combine their powers. Magic Parrot, Magic Mirror, and Confusion combine your powers,” said Sally. A parrot holding a mirror with its feet appeared. When the cult members looked at the mirror they became confused about what they were suppose to be doing and sat down on the floor. “Get up you idiots!” Shouted the cult leader. They looked at the cult leader but remained sitting. “Why do I have to do everything myself!” shouted the cult leader turning his head and grabbing the parrot. He shook the parrot trying to make it drop the mirror. Then he began to squeeze the parrot with all his might and the parrot exploded.
“That sleazebag!” exclaimed Joe. “Now, my pretty female magician I will get your blood,” said the cult leader reaching in his pocket and pulling out a blank card. The magic fence which was protecting the four young heroes disappeared and the cult leader started towards them.
“Other than running does anyone have any other ideas?” asked Sally. “I do,” said Joe stepping forward. “First I will summon Bullet Bill,” said Joe. A bullet appeared in front of Joe. “Next I play graveyard resurrection and bring back Magic Parrot Mirror,” said Joe. The parrot holding a mirror appeared beside the bullet.. “Finally I play the Spell Card Monster combo which merges any two monsters on the field to one. Magic Parrot Mirror combine with Bullet Bill,” said Joe. “I am impressed,” said Sally. “Would you like to do the honors,” said Joe. “Thats ok, you go ahead,” said Sally. “With pleasure, Bullet Bill attack!” shouted Joe. The bullet went flying towards the cult leader and it hit him just above the eyes. The cult leader became confused and sat down on the floor.
“What are we going to do with all of these weirdos?” asked Joe. Sally had an idea and whispered it in Joe’s ear. Joe put a big grin on his face as he listened to Sally’s idea. “Come on sick-os,” said Joe clapping his hands. The cult leader and members got up and followed Joe out the front door of the church.
“Thank you for your help. I am sorry I delayed you on your journey,” said Aykea. “I just wished we could have found your friend,” said Sally. “I will not give up until I find out what happened to Modo,” said Aykea. “We will come back and help you on your quest because I am beginning to get the feeling that Modo’s disappearance and our quest are connected,” said Sally taking a teleport card from her deck.
Nathan and Sally teleported back to Sally’s room. They met up with Walter, Taylor, and Miles. “Please tell me you found something,” said Sally. “We did not find anything but we made some copies concerning the history of the Shadow games and different places on the planet in case we missed something” said Taylor handing Sally several pages. “I will look at it tomorrow,” said Sally putting the copies on her desk by the computer. Then she went and sat down on her bed.
Nathan decided it was time to start a new conversation. “I was going to ask you out on a date to celebrate our anniversary but I guess you are probably too tired to go now,” said Nathan. “Anniversary?” asked Sally with a puzzled look on her face. “Yes, today is our anniversary,” said Nathan. Sally turned to Taylor for a clue as to what Nathan was talking about but Taylor did not know either so she just shrugged her shoulders. “I will give you a clue, the little brown head girl with pink ribbons in her hair that wanted to go high on the swing,” said Nathan. “Oh my gosh! I can’t believe you remembered that. It was the first time we met. I was sitting on a swing at the park and the stupid thing was barely moving for me. I wanted to go high in to the air and you started pushing me on the swing. I kept telling you higher then I started getting motion sickness and you help cover me while I threw up,” said Sally starting to laugh. “That is so romantic. Walter, does that remind you of anything?” asked Taylor. “No,” said Walter with a puzzled look on his face. “Great my best friend gets a boy with brains and I get stuck with a boy that is a dummy,” said Taylor crossing her arms in disgust. “Walter, do you remember meathead?” asked Sally trying to bail him out of trouble with his girlfriend. “Oh yeah, now I know,” said Walter chuckling. “You are talking about the day we first met. You was playing in a sandbox at the park making a sand castle and Meathead came up and put his foot on it and started laughing,” said Walter. “Then you came up, stood up to Meathead, and ended up with a bloody nose and two black eyes,” said Taylor starting to laugh.
Nathan, Sally, Walter, and Taylor took Miles home. Then the four went ate pizza, shared stories, and laughed about the silly things they did together growing up.
